And then it all made sense

A force shoves me to the side and my back collides with a tree trunk, a whimper escaping my lips at the impact.
The gun in Alonzo's hands clatters to the ground as he staggers back slightly, his eyes widening as his body begins to shake.
"No.." He whispers, his hands trembling violently as he collapses to the ground in a heap.
My eyes lock on the figure laying on the ground in front of him, my body stilling at the blood pouring out of his stomach.
"You weren't supposed to get hurt." Alonzo whispers, his hands reaching out to hold the bleeding figure in his arms.
"I did all this for you! You can't leave me!" Alonzo sobs, his hands becoming a tainted red with Alfonzo's blood.
A pained grunt escapes Alfonzo's lips and his eyes snap open before he pushes Alonzo away with a sneer.
"Don't fucking touch me traitor."
I want to move. I want to help him but my body won't let me. It won't move. Fear has overtaken my body.
Alonzo sniffles, wiping at his eyes with his bloodied hands, "L-Let me help you Alfonzo." He says, reaching for Alfonzo.
"Just because I don't have my mask on, all of a sudden you can't recognise me?"
Alonzo stills, "T-That's not possible. He was taking his medication regularly." He stares at Alfonzo, confusion etched onto his features.
Mask? What does he mean mask? Only Alex wears a-
My eyes widen when realisation hits me.
Alfonzo and Alex are the same people? They have the exact same eyes, physique and voice, except Alex's voice is a little deeper. That would explain why I hardly saw him much and why I didn't remember him and it also explains the pills I've seen Alfonzo have before, maybe they helped keep Alex away? Why didn't I realise this sooner?
Alfonzo- no Alex, turns to me and offers a small smile, "Hi little brother, I'm Alex if you haven't caught on yet."
He's got a gash on his forehead, a black eye starting to form, a busted lip and his back is still bleeding. His wounds look infected and my heart thuds painfully in my chest as my eyes take in his bloody, bruised form.
"I'm fine." He says as if reading my thoughts.
"STOP IT!" Alonzo screams, staggering to his feet and clutching his hair, anxiously tugging at it, "Even when you switch personalities your attention is still on him! Why is it always him? I'm your twin!" He walks forward, closing the distance between them and pulls Alex closer to him by what little remains of his shirt.
"Was it so wrong to want your attention?" He whispers, leaning his head on Alex's broad shoulder.
"It went way beyond wrong when you killed our family." Alex replies coldly, his dark eyes staring at the back of Alonzo's head.
Suddenly, he looks at me and motions with his eyes to the gun that still lies where Alonzo was standing a few seconds ago. Nodding slowly, I urge my body to move as the exhaustion begins to hit me with full force. Licking my dry lips, I realise we haven't had any water in almost two days. How is Alex still standing after all he's been through? My chest aches with every step I take, trying my best to keep quiet and avoid any branches laying around.
