"Are you sure about this, (Y/N)?" (O/Y/N) asked.
You stared at Baymax's box. "Y-yeah. . ." Baymax is a friendly robot. Stop freaking out! "I'm just kind of tired. I didn't really sleep last night," you lied. "But this is going by all so fast. I had no idea I would be finding out the truth of Tadashi, like, three days ago."
(O/Y/N) smiled. "The world's just full of surprises."
"So, this is the robot suit Hiro made? Telepathic rope, right?" You eyed the small set of colorful armor. It was (F/C) and (S/F/C), and you turned the arm over to reveal two boxes on the underside of the forearm. If you weren't several sizes bigger you would have strapped that thing on and jumped off the balcony screaming that Shingeki no Kyojin theme song Emil loved so much.
"Yep. Too bad it's too small." (O/Y/N) wiped off some dust on the shoulder. "It was really cool wearing it." She laughed, but it was dry and nostalgic.
"So, are you ready?"
"Yep."
You picked up the backpack you had brought along with you to their hotel room. "What time is it now?"
"It's 1:26 AM," (O/Y/N) said, picking up her large backpack. "Hiro's still showering, so a few more minutes. Can I go through your stuff to make sure you have everything?"
You nodded and looked out the sliding door. Even though it was the middle of the night, the city was still flashing lights and being noisy as ever. "How are we going to get there without anyone seeing?"
(O/Y/N) sifted through your bag. "We'll have to go really high."
You swallowed. "Oh, okay."
(O/Y/N) stood up. "(Y/N), take this, too." She handed you a black fanny pack, something that looked like a headset, a large Zip-Loc bag of snacks, rope, batteries, and. . . a pocket knife.
"Seriously, a fanny pack? Those are-"
"It's convenient. Now put these in it and put it on. But put the bag in your pack."
"But a pocket knife? Are you expecting me to kill someone?" You put the snacks in your backpack and began stuffing the items into the small pack. "Besides, I already have batteries."
"Better safe than sorry," your friend said as the bathroom door opened. A cloud of steam floated into the room and Hiro emerged.
"Are you guys ready?" he asked. (O/Y/N) nodded. Hiro turned to you. "(Y/N), put on the headset. That way we can talk if we accidentally lose someone." He thought for a moment.
Hope that won't happen. You put it on, then slowly zipped up a jacket. "Are you sure we'll be welcome?"
"I hope." (O/Y/N) turned to Baymax's box. "Ow," she said in a monotone voice. Baymax inflated, then turned to (O/Y/N). "I heard a sound of distress. Are you-"
"Baymax, suit up," Hiro said. "Thank goodness he'll still fit in his robot suit." He began searching for the pieces in his suitcase.
You chuckled. "You brought it with you?" You inched away from Baymax.
"Pays to be prepared." Hiro squeezed the pieces onto Baymax with much effort. "Baymax, do you remember Kujira Island?"
Baymax thought for a moment. "Yes. Coordinates-"
"Okay, good. Let's go." Hiro nudged Baymax to the balcony.
"And. . . how do we fit?" you asked, following them out the door. The night air felt cool on your face, and you breathed in deeply.
Hiro patted Baymax's back. "We will. Probably. We'll try not to let anyone fall, right, Baymax?"
(O/Y/N) noticed you looking uneasy, so she told you to sit in the middle. "Ready?"
Then, without warning, Baymax took off. Hiro laughed in delight as the robot tilted up and hurtled towards the clouds.
You were gripping on the robot's armor so hard you couldn't feel your hands. It was like a roller coaster, except you were literally shooting into the sky and there were no seat belts. And your chance of dying was 99%. The wind stung against your skin and everything around you was a blur. You were forced to close your (E/C) eyes to shield them against the wind.
Hiro's whoop sounded far away over the wind. It feels like my face is peeling off, you thought. The winds died down, and you cautiously opened your eyes to see Baymax had slowed down so now you were drifting lazily over the city. You let out a shaky breath and tried to calm your pounding heart.
"You okay?" Hiro asked.
"Y-yeah." You tried not to look down.
"Hiro, did you search up the plane schedule? If we bump into them, it'll be trouble," (O/Y/N) said. Hiro's silence sent a wave of dread over you.
"Figured." (O/Y/N) crossed her arms. "Fly lower, Baymax."
Baymax shifted suddenly, pitching downwards. You crashed into Hiro and (O/Y/N) smashed into your back. Your hands tried to push yourself back up and get (O/Y/N) off you, but your palms slipped. Your only hold on the robot let go of the armor and you slipped out between Hiro and (O/Y/N). Your life flashed before your eyes as you fell off the robot headfirst and plunged to the city below.
