CHAPTER 5: MYSTERIES UNCOVERED

LUKE'S POV

I was exhausted after fighting through Sin after Sin. Luckily, Josh and I found some food and water. We went back to check on the others. But nobody was there! Josh asked, "Um Luke, where are the others?" I didn't know, but then I saw the open vent. Oh they are so in trouble, I thought. "Josh, I think they went through there." Right as me and Josh were about to yell through the vent, I heard someone scream, "WHO ARE YOU? What do you want from me?"
"Josh, I heard someone! Maybe he needs help, or he can help us!" I yelled. Me and Josh ran into the hall, only to find Envy, Greed, and Pride attacking the.... MANAGER? "STOP RIGHT THERE! I AM AN ALCHEMIST AND I WILL END YOU!" Envy just gives me an evil glare. "YOU!"
"Hey Envy. What up dude? Psycho plan to stop us still working?" I asked, being sarcastic but still trying to be calm. I looked over to Pride. She looked just like Shanna. One eyepatch over her left eye, hiding what appeared to be a broken eye. She looked like she was in her sixties; the only Sin that has ever aged. Yet she still looked young like Shanna.
"Luke, this isn't a worth fight. Do you not remember 4 hours ago?" Josh asked.
I guess your right. But first-" I clapped my hands- "-we gotta save someone." I made a tower going up, and I grabbed the manager. "You alright?" Josh asked.
The manager looked like we had done the worst thing ever. I was trying to focus my energy into the tower, but the manager jumped! "No! Dangit!" I yelled.
We neared the room, got in and slammed the door. I clapped my hands and merged the door into the wall, looking like there was never a room there.
"Well, we better find them. Who knows what kind of trouble they've gotten themselves into." Josh said. We jumped into the vent. We kept on nearing for the light. "I can't believe it! They left us for dead and went to escape!" Josh yelled.
We got to the shack we sorta-guessed they were in, and lucky us, they were. The first thing I did was yell.

LANDON'S POV

"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU ARE SO DEAD!" was the first thing I heard when the yelling woke us up. I looked at Sam. He looked angry. "SHUT UP LUKE! THIS WAS MY IDEA!"
Then Luke burst into the door, with Josh. "Okay, I trusted you when I said we needed to stay together."
Shanna groggily answered, "You never said that."
Josh seemed angry as well. "We can't believe you would do this!"
Then I decided to speak up. "Luke, Josh, listen. You have to remember that this is OUR fight, not just yours. You seem like you're the only ones who honestly bother to fight, but Sam had an escape plan, and we followed it. So SHUT UP!"
"Make us," challenged Luke.
I held him in an arm lock. That kept the kid quiet.
I was worried that Josh would go invisible. He tends to do that when he gets angry. Thankfully, when he did, Sam was ready. He closed his eyes and I heard a gasp from a dangerously close distance away. Josh returned to normal, glaring at him.
"If you act like we're cannon fodder, then maybe you don't need us!" he growled.
"FINE!"
"FINE!"
They were about to storm out, but we heard a knocking on the door. I opened it. It was Envy! "HERE'S JOHNNY!" and we all scream. Luke yelled, "SEE, THIS IS WHY WE SHOULD'VE STUCK TOGETHER!"
For once, I had to agree.
