A/N: Hello everyone<3 thank you so much for just clicking on this notification, since it's been so long since I last wrote. Thank you all for your patience and for sticking around, you guys mean literally everything to me. I'm being serious when I say that honestly, writing is one of my favorite hobbies, and to know that it makes so many people happy (or that it made so many people happy in the past) is like a blessing to me<3 you guys are my absolute world, and happy pride month to everyone reading<3 please enjoy!!<3 (this oneshot will be more of Kaveh doting on Alhaitham and loving him, since I wanted to write Kaveh being smitten with Alhaitham, since I usually see the other way, and I wanted to do something special for you guys this pride month, as I was not able to get anything out last pride month.)

Nobody's POV:
In a corner of the world, filled with warmth and adorned with love, stood a man who loath to be distracted from the practice of reading. Yet, for once, he had simply let himself part with the letters and words that consumed each page, and in a reluctant— yet loving act, let his lover take him to some place he'd been wishing to do for quite a few weeks.

Kaveh gently took his lover's hand, and pulled him closer, as the warmth of summer washed down upon them. It was a heated day in Sumeru city, yet Kaveh seemed relentless when it came to taking Alhaitham out into the sun. They'd bantered back and forth for a few minutes, until Kaveh had sighed softly, his eyes softening as he gently took Alhaitham's hand, making his book slip out of his grasp. "Please, Haiyiii.. come with me..? I promise, it'll be our most amazing date yet.." And at the distressed, yet somehow honeyed plea, the scribe had reluctantly agreed, a frown grumbling his voice as he replied, "..Fine.." At the sound of the latter's agreement, Kaveh's eyes instantly lit up in a sudden act of caprice, a smile instantly woven onto his lips.

The architect chuckled, and in a jovial tone, he'd reached to pull the scribe off of the couch, excitement capturing him. At that, the scribe had voluntarily gasped, trying to muffle the way his lips curved into a smile. "We're leaving now?" The scribe asked, his voice laced with the slightest bit of amusement at how excitement so often took over Kaveh's train of thought. And thus, they ended up where they were now, seated in a new cafe that had opened up, sitting next to each other in a lesser inhabited spot in the room. "Isn't this place comfortable?" The architect questioned, a fondness lacing his voice as he gently brushed a strand of hair from the scribe's face behind his ear, the action making the scribe's chest fill with a soft flurry of warmth.

"Hm.. sure, if only this place were filled with a lesser number of individuals, I suppose I would take more joy in being here." Alhaitham answered, his aloof tone making it seem as though he despised being here, yet Kaveh knew he didn't, from the way he slightly leaned into his touch, and lay against his palm. The architect's thumb began a benign journey across the scribe's cheekbone, his fingers moving with the gentle warmth of a man in love; or rather, an artist in love, from the way his eyes were drawn to the way the scribe's features looked beneath the soft sunlight that sunk in from the window.

The scribe's eyes fluttered shut in an act of trust, his hair swaying just a little as he leaned even further into the soft warmth that came from the architect's hand, a smile gently appearing visible on his lips, the hint of a chuckle in his breath. The architect just watched with a certain fondness that seemed almost otherworldly as he pulled the scribe just a bit closer. "Mmh.. you're just like a little cat.." the blond teased, his words a soft coo as he withheld a chuckle. The other simply let out a doting scoff as a response, the sound almost sounding like a giggle due to his smile that made Kaveh feel as if the whole world was in the palm of his hand.. yet, in a way, the whole world was in his hand.. his beloved against him was the loveliest feeling he'd ever known, and he'd refuse to ever fall out of love with it.
