It took two days for Nik to finally track down Billie. Julianne's lead wasn't useful in the slightest. To be honest I thought it was a red herring. I got the call early in the morning to my dismay. As much as I wanted to stay in bed I remembered Alessandra is my main priority.
For now, Billie will do.
I slipped into one of my dresses from Paradise. Julianne brought it over when she noticed my lack of fitting clothes. Before I transported myself I grabbed a box for Nik. A box filled with letters I hoped never needed to be opened.
I had another vision last night that startled me so much I couldn't fall asleep afterward. Though I prayed nothing would go wrong these visions told me otherwise. So I wrote these letters just in case. One for Nik, the second for Bonnie, another for Julianne, and the last for my Angel.
Just in case.
As much as I disliked not being in my apartment I did miss the view from the Manor across the water. I could hear Elijah and Rebekah talking upstairs as I ventured down to the basement. Nik was waiting for me outside of the locked steel door.
He let out a puff of air when I hugged him, holding me at arm's length to scan for any scratches or marks. When there weren't any he hugged me again.
"I missed you, Nik. I'm sorry it's been so long." It was only two weeks but it felt like a lifetime. Usually we never went a few days without checking in with each other. My trip to Virginia and the constant visits to Paradise made it nearly impossible.
He was busy too. The coven here in New Orleans was convinced our daughters would be the destruction of the world. As it was written they said.
I'm tired of things being written. Sick of all these so-called prophecies. Everyone stop writing.
"How are you feeling?" He asked as he led me down the hall to a hidden study.
"Exhausted, worried, terrified," I let out a shaky laugh. "Really fucking scared." For once I felt comfortable enough to be vulnerable. Of course, Julianne and the others wouldn't judge but I felt so much pressure. I didn't want to disappoint them by being weak.
As we entered the small room I gave him the box."A gift? For me?" He smirked going to open it. He pulled with all his might but it wouldn't open he glared at me. "Casting spells, little witch. What's a gift if I can't retrieve it?"
"It's not a gift you idiot," I snickered as I hopped on the desk. "Quite the opposite. There's only one way this box will open."
"Which is?" He stopped messing with the lock, giving me his full attention.
"If my heart stops," I said not making eye contact. He stood up in front of me. "These visions. The things i've seen. I don't know what will happen. I just-" My breath hitched. "I need you to promise me something."
His face fell. "Nothing is going to happen." He traced his finger over the box. "You don't need those."
I wish I was as optimistic as he was. Theses visions had a darkness to them. A darkness similar to Esther months ago. Her visions caused a domino effect that led me here.
"Let me finish," I looked up at him. "If it comes down to me or the baby, save her. Choose her." I held his hand for my comfort. He squeezed it tight. "I know you and your family will do right by her. She's a Mikaelson, one of your own. I want her to know her history. Bonnie will help with that."
"Cece-"
"Her name is Angel Makari Mikaelson. I don't know what will happen to Paradise when I do. If it's still there Julianne, Morgan, and Mia will always be there for guidance. Jules thinks she'll be human. Of course, there's a high chance she'll have the ability to become a tribrid like me," I kept going knowing he wanted me to stop. He didn't think all of this was necessary. To him, everything was going to be okay. "One more thing."
