NATALIA'S POV
"Hi, babe!" I greeted as soon as I entered his office.
He stood up and met me halfway, planting a kiss on my lips.
"How's your day?" he asked, smiling.
"Good." I answered.
He guided me to the lounge area, and we sat down together.
"You're too early for our appointment. Wala pa sila dito." he said.
"It's okay. Wala rin naman akong ginagawa sa bahay, kaya naisipan kong pumunta na lang dito." I said.
Today, the designers we hired for our wedding gowns and suits are coming.
Since they're not available on weekends and can't come to our house, we decided to meet them here at Sanford Empire.
We were happily chatting when someone knocked and opened the door. Alexander's secretary peeked in.
"Sorry to interrupt, Sir, but your meeting will start in 10 minutes. Everyone is already in the boardroom they're just waiting for you. Thank you." she said, then quietly closed the door.
Alexander and I exchanged glances. I smiled at him.
"Sige na, I'll see you later." I said, tapping his shoulder.
He stood up, and so did I. I fixed his necktie, and he kissed me once again.
"I'll just wait for you here." I said as our lips parted.
"Just call me if you need anything, okay, babe?" he said.
"Yeah, sure." I replied.
He walked out of his office, leaving me alone.
Since I had nothing to do, I decided to roam around. Nothing had changed from what I remembered.
His office was spacious. One side had a glass wall offering a breathtaking view of the city. I bet the view is even more beautiful at night with all the city lights.
He had a lounge area, a large television, and a mini refrigerator.
Aside from a door leading to his comfort room, there was another one that opened to a small bedroom.
He probably sleeps here when he's too tired. I even saw some of his clothes neatly arranged in the cabinet.
As I stepped out of the bedroom, I was surprised to see Cassandra—we were both caught off guard seeing each other.
She was at Alexander's table, placing some folders.
"Sorry, I didn't know you were here. Akala ko walang tao kasi alam kong nasa meeting si Alexander." she said, clearly embarrassed.
"No, it's okay. No worries." I said with a smile.
I closed the door behind me and walked back to the lounge area to sit down.
She was about to leave, but she stopped and turned toward me.
I smiled, waiting to hear what she wanted to say.
"Can I... talk to you?" she asked.
My lips formed an "O" shape from surprise, but I quickly responded.
"Yes, of course. Sure, come here. Have a seat." I offered.
She sat across from me on the couch.
I smiled again, noticing how nervous she looked.
"I just want to say sorry for everything... if ever I did something that hurt you—before or even now." she said softly.
