TWO DAYS LATER.
Kano and I had made our way back up the ravine. I was sporting a coat, which was my mother's, and some pants that I had seen in her closet. Kano had on a shirt and light jacket with pants. I knew that he was probably cold, but he didn't say anything. His wolf was probably not used to the cold like mine was. But werewolves ran warm, so if anything he was probably just a little chilly.
Once we were at the top of the ravine, Kano grabbed my hand, leading us back to my pack house quickly.
"I want to leave your territory by tonight." He said quickly, "I'll drop you off at your pack house."
"Where are you going? You should at least grab a coat. I know my Father has a few." I said worriedly.
"To the dungeons to talk to my Father. I need to see where his heads at before I determine a punishment for him."
"I'll go with you." I said softly as we reached my pack house. He opened the door for me, letting me go in first.
"Stay here and pack. Also, say goodbye to your pack members, you're going back with me to mine." He turned to leave before I could stop him. He seemed in a rush which somehow worried me. My wolf was content in my head though.
"Amory." I heard my mother's voice. The woman came up to hesitantly hug me. My wolf felt weird at the contact but stayed quiet in my head. This woman was indeed my mother. "I'm glad to see you make it back safe." She cupped my cheek and smiled.
I brought my hand to the back of my head, "I'm sorry, it's just... I'm not used to having you around like this." I admitted. She smiled back.
"It's nice to be back around like this. Did you complete the bond? You smell a lot like Kano."
"No I... I wanted to wait till I was in the right state of mind, you know?" She nodded her head and grabbed my arm, bringing me closer inside.
"It's been snowing pretty hard. Are you guys sure you want to leave by the night? I know that the closer you get to Kano's pack the less snow they'll be. Our pack is more used to the harsh winter after all." I shrugged.
"I know I can handle it, I'm just worried about Kano."
"His wolf should handle it just fine. You hungry?" I started to nod my head when a pup ran by me. I rose my eyebrows in surprise. Trinity? I hadn't seen her in a while. Why was she here? She was one of the pups that was without a mother and Father. They had both passed by a rogue attack a few months after she was born. I had taken care of her along with some of the other she-wolves. "Oh. The she-wolves are here with their pups. We're catching up."
I sniffed, noticing the bout of smells that filled my nose. There seemed to be almost all the she-wolves and pups of the pack here. I followed my mother to the kitchen, "Was there any casualties?" I asked.
"None. Your father is very proud of this. You want to take off your coat?" I shook my head. If I took off my coat she would see so many marks on my neck. And I didn't want her to see those at all. When I made it to the kitchen I noticed a lot of the woman and pups that my mother had mentioned. The pups were running around the living room and dining room, while sum were too small and being fed.
The woman just all stood around and talked to each other. I scanned the room to look for Bali, and when I spotted her I headed her way. "Bali, did Hati tell you that we're planning to leave by tonight?" I asked.
I saw her eyebrows raise and eyes widen. "Amory!" She jumped, hugging me, "You're okay?"
"Umm... yes." I said, starting to feel slightly uncomfortable. Bali had never hugged me before, and on top of that, I thought she still didn't like me. She pulled away briefly, smiling down at me.
