It was finally the wedding time.

The air was heavy with all the wedding vibes. Flowers, music, rituals, joy. But for Meera, everything felt heavier in a different way. Her emotions sat on her chest like unshed tears.

The clinking of glasses, the sounds of laughter, and relatives fussing over outfits all blended into a dull hum in the background. Her thoughts were louder. Her heart was louder.

Her phone buzzed.

Saanvi: Hey I’m ready! You can come in now!
Meera smiled faintly.

Saanvi had insisted Meera stay out she wanted to surprise her with the final bridal look. After all, Meera had designed it. Her first bridal creation.

With a soft sigh, Meera left her room, footsteps echoing in the hallway. The same hallway.

The memory of Sidharth pulling away echoed louder. His voice. Her own. Their frustration.

She shook her head, mentally scolding herself.

"Not now!"

She knocked gently. The door creaked open.

“Meera!”

Saanvi looked like something straight out of a dream. Regal yet soft. Eyes glistening, lips quivering.
