When you're heartily happy, time passes quickly-more than you imagine. Mahika has immersed herself in work so deeply that she didn't realise when her project came to an end, marking the completion of two months of her tenure at Malhotra Industries. She is in a meeting with her team, checking the efficiency of the product they had designed.

Gautam stands outside the conference room, watching Mahika take the lead. His lips curved into a small smile as he watches her. Meanwhile, he feels a warm touch on his shoulder and turned around to find his father beside him.

"Kya dekh rahe ho, barkhurdar?" he asks, though he knows the answer.

"Kuch nahi, Dad! Main bas ye dekh raha hoon ki bahut waqt baad humein ek kaabil employee mila hai, aapko nahi lagta?" he asks, his tone deep.

"Haan, beta, ye baat toh hai. Mahika ne yeh project bahut ache se sambhala hai. Clients ke positive feedbacks mile hai," Anoop says.

Gautam smiles, "I knew it, Dad. Aur main jaanta hoon, she will work wonders in my favour. She's beautiful, inside out. Bas... bas kuch baat hai jisse yeh udaas hain," he says, his tone wavering as he completes his statement.

Anoop narrows his eyes at his son, knowing that he is also disturbed when others close to him are in some kind of trouble. "Aur vo kya baat hai? Tumne pucha nahi?" he asks.

"Nahi, Dad, lekin puchna zaroor chahta hoon. Ab toh vo meri achchi dost ban gai hai," Gautam says, a fond smile playing on his lips.

"Hmm, toh pucho barkhurdar. Mahika pehli aisi ladki hai, jiske liye tum khush bhi ho, aur uski udaasi se pareshan bhi. Beta, main zyada toh nahi jaanta, lekin itna zaroor jaanta hoon, yeh hamari zindagi mein bada badlaav laayegi, dekhna tu. Shaayad teri zindagi mein," Anoop says, sharing his wisdom.

Anoop has the art of reading people, even if he doesn't know them personally. Mahika has had an effect on him since the very beginning. He is sure that this girl will change his son's life, and he's quite ready for it.

Gautam is confused. He looks at his dad. "Dad, aap ye kya bol rahe ho? Agreed, business mein she brought a change lekin meri life... matlab?" he asks, momentarily stunned.

Anoop smiles, "Beta, tu businesman hai, shares ya deals ko side mein rakh kar, ek baar apne emotions ko analyse kar. Tujhe samajh aa jayega main kya keh raha hoon," he pats his cheek and walks into his cabin, and Gautam follows him, his demeanour thoughtful.

On the other hand, Mahika finishes the meeting. She asks Paridhi, her colleague, to attach the reports before sending them to Gautam for review.

"Mahi ma'am, bahar wala printer kharab hai, main aapke cabin wala printer use karlu?" she asks innocently.
