Shruti and Mahika are assigned a room, and their dance teacher sends an earlier recording of her dance to Mahika. Moreover, she also hands a set of ethnic dresses to Shruti, asking her to try them on. Once the girls are left alone, Shruti looks at Mahika.

“Mahi, isn’t this unfair? I mean jab hum ma’am se baat karne gaye they tab toh unhone mana kar diya. Ab wo chahti hain main ramp par jaun. Tumhe unhone Ganesh Vandana pe laga diya, huh,” she whines.
Mahika pats her cheek, “Shru, some things are meant to be! Ab dekho na, tumhe fashion show mein jana tha, toh tumhe chance mila. Mujhe itna shauk nahi hai, lekin haan Ganesh Vandana is easy. We deserved all of these, and we got it,” she explains.
Shruti nods, “You’re right, Mahi. I dunno what more is in store for me,” she chuckles, her tone casual.

“You never know, Shru! Kuch surprises achanak se milte hain, maybe, today is a day of surprises for you,” Mahika says, hinting at a better surprise coming up for her.

“Mahi, tum kal se aisa hi bol rahi ho. Aur vo, Sid — Sid bhi kal kuch aisa hi bol raha tha, pata nahi kya chal raha hai uske dimag mein,” Shruti sighs, as she opens the dresses to take a quick look at them.
Mahi looks at her carefully, “Hmm, just wait, Shru, kya pata ye saari cheezein tumhare liye hi ho. Achcha chalo, tum dresses try karo, main video dekh loon, kuch der mein ma’am bulaane aa jayengi,” she says, her tone laced with irritation.
