Friendship is precious, and so is love-but what happens when life throws unexpected challenges your way?
Shruti, Siddharth, and Mahika share a deep bond as best friends. While Mahika has loved Siddharth since childhood, fate has other plans-Siddhart...
Mahika is stunned when Gautam puts her on a new project. She’s curious, and out of that curiosity, she asks him why he has assigned her to it.
“Sir, maine toh aaj hi join kiya hai. Aur aapne mujhe iss naye project pe daal diya hain, kya main reason jaan sakti hoon? I mean, it’s pretty straightforward,” she says, her tone soft.

Gautam smiles, his gaze softening. “Ms Mahika, you’re capable of it, you know. Jab aap kuch dinon pehle kaam ke baare mein baat karne aayi thi, tab aapne mujhe ek suggestion diya tha, aur uski wajah se humein woh deal bhi mili thi. Isliye mujhe laga ki agar main aapko naya project doon, toh wo timely deliver hoga,” he speaks, his voice laced with warmth.
Mahika looks at Gautam, quite amused. He smiles at her. “Aur aapne kaha tha ki aap mere venture mein bhi meri help karna chahti hain. Toh iss project se aapko bahut exposure milega,” he adds, answering her question.
She juggles through her memory — yes, the day she came to discuss working with them and her prospect of helping Gautam, she had given them a marketing idea, and the clients had liked it. They had signed the deal in Gautam’s favour. She smiles warmly.
“Par ek incident se aapne kaise judge kar liya ki main kar sakti hoon? Aur abhi aapne yeh bhi kaha hai ki mujhe iss project ko lead karna hoga,” she asks him, curious about what he thinks of her.
Gautam gazes at her, his eyes lingering momentarily. He doesn’t feel like looking away. She’s dressed in formal attire, yet looks breathtakingly beautiful. He smiles softly and then looks away.
“Ms Mahika, you are worth it. When a single idea from you can get me a big deal, then, why shouldn’t you lead another? Apne aapko kam mat samajhiye, Mahika ji,” his voice is tender, laced with emotion — not just that of a boss, but with a hint of friendliness.

Mahika is touched by his words. She smiles. “You are sweet, Mr Gautam. I will make sure that I get this project done efficiently. Aur aapko shikayat ka mauka nahi milega,” she says, her tone confident.
Gautam smiles. “I expect the same, Mahika. Also, if you need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out to me,” he says, his tone light.
Mahika nods. Her demeanor has turned confident after the brief chat with Gautam. With a confident stride, she walks into her cabin and sets to work.
It’s her first day, and she is determined to make a mark in the business world.

It’s another day. After her classes, Shruti reaches home, only to find that her mother seems happy. As soon as she enters the house, her mother pulls her into a hug and kisses her forehead softly.
“Aaj main bahut khush hoon, beta,” she says, her tone laced with excitement.

Shruti is stunned. “Kya hua, Mumma? Are you and Papa going on vacation?” she says, her tone amused.
Her mother, Shweta, blushes slightly but shakes her head. “Nahi betu! Tumhare Papa ke paas time kahan hai aajkal. Lekin meri khushi ki wajah kuch aur hai. Aa, idhar baith,” she pulls Shruti beside her.
Shruti looks at her mom, eager to know what has made her so happy, and so she waits for her to continue. Shweta looks at her, her lips curving into a small smile.
“Thodi der pehle Siddharth ki Ma ka phone aaya tha,” she speaks, each word falling from her mouth slowly and deliberately.
Shruti feels her heart beating furiously at Siddharth’s name. She waits for her mother to continue. “Vo teri aur Siddharth ki shadi ki baat kar rahi thi. Keh rahi thi ki agar bachchon ki haan hai toh unhe koi dikkat nahi hai. Aur waise bhi Siddharth ke Papa aur tere Papa achche dost hain,” Shweta completes her sentence and looks at her daughter.
Shruti gazes at her mother. “Aur aapne kya bola, Mumma?” she asks, eager to know her mother’s response.
Shweta leans forward and cups Shruti’s cheek. “Beta, meri khushi toh teri khushi mein hai. Tu jaanti hai, mere paas Siddharth ka rishta pehle bhi aa chuka hai, humari community ke through. Tumhare Papa ko bhi woh pasand hai,” she says, her tone laced with admiration for Siddharth.

Shruti’s eyes twinkle with joy as she looks at her mother. She leans in to hug her, soaking in all her warmth. “Toh ab aap kya faisla karoge? Aapne unko kya bola?” she asks.
“Hum Sunday ko unse milenge, aur phir baaki cheezein final karenge. Main jaanti hoon, tum aur Siddharth toh ready ho, lekin parents hone ke naate, humein bhi toh thoda time chahiye,” Shweta speaks.
Shruti nods. She jumps on her toes and twirls around in joy. She then holds her mother and twirls her as well. “Mumma, you’re the best, you know! I will wait for Sunday,” she says, her tone soft.
Shweta smiles. “Hmm, mujhe bhi intezar hai. Achcha, ab tu jaa, aur fresh hoke aa, main chai banati hoon,” she says, and Shruti runs into her room.
She quickly grabs her phone and types out a message:
“Sidd! I am glad! It seems humare parents ready hai. Your mum called today. I hope to see our Pehla Pyaar succeed.”
She sends the message to Siddharth and gets busy dreaming of their life together.
