Life is unpredictable and you’re unaware of its course of action. Sometimes, you’re free but other times, you’re too busy to realise the time that’s passing away. It’s like the time is slipping from your hand. The same thing is happening with Mahika. It’s been a week that she has been busy and hasn’t met her friends.

It’s a fine day, she’s in her room working on her laptop, editing something and after looking at it for a few minutes, she sighs deeply

It’s a fine day, she’s in her room working on her laptop, editing something and after looking at it for a few minutes, she sighs deeply. A tear escapes her eye. The work is beyond her expectations. This time, there are a lot of writeups and this year’s annual book will be massive. She’s wondering, how the students have evolved and sent their writeups.

Meanwhile, the doorbell breaks her trance. She wonders who’s at the door, as her parents have gone to a wedding. She opens the door and is pleasantly surprised to find Shruti beaming at her. She pulls Shruti in a hug.

“Shru? Tum yahan? I mean….” She’s at loss of words.

“Sirf wo nahi, main bhi aaya hoon.” It’s Sidharth who follows Shruti inside the house.

Mahika is surprised, she just gazes at them for a few minutes, when Sidharth slaps on her cheek lightly, bringing her out of her trance.

“Hey, it’s us

“Hey, it’s us. Tum itne din se mili hi nahi aur aaj toh message bhi nahi kiya. Toh jab tumne reply nahi kiya toh humne decide kia ki hum tumse milne aayenge.” Shruti explains.

“Thank god! Vaise acha kia tum dono ne. I am also tired.” Mahika replies.

“So, let’s have something,” Sidharth says as he places two packets on the dining table.

Mahika is surprised to see pizza and a Chinese platter. Her friends surely know how to cheer her up. She gets three plates and the three of them sit down to eat. She also fills them up with her editing work. She sighs as she tells them the massive writeups that she has got to edit.

“Hey, tujhe itna load nahi lena chahiye, Mahika. I mean, Sukriti ko bolo na wo tumhe help kare!” Sidharth suggests.
