Mahika and Gautam have a drink as they watch Siddharth and Shruti on the stage. He notices the soft glint in Mahika's eyes as she looks at her friends.
"I see, you're too happy for your friends," Gautam remarks.

"I am, Gautam. Siddharth mera bachpan ka dost hai. Aur Shruti humse college mein aake mili. Ye dono mere liye bahut mayne rakhte hain. Aap dekh rahe hain na, yeh dono kitne khush lag rahe hain," she says, her tone laced with admiration for her friends.
Gautam nods. "Bahut pyare lag rahe hain hai dono. Lekin aap kya chhupa rahi hain?" he asks.

Mahika's gaze darts at Gautam. "Main kuch nahi chhupa rahi, Gautam. Aap jaante hain, kuch baatein kisi ko batai nahi jaati, aur kuch emotions aapko akele hi mehsus karne padte hain, Gautam. And you know, I don't intend to share it with you," she says ever so softly, her words touching his heart.
"I respect your words, Mahika. But I want you to know that you can share anything with me, if you feel like," Gautam offers, his tone gentle.

Mahika smiles. "Thanks, Gautam. I've been meaning to thank you. You've been a great friend, when I needed one," she says, her tone genuine.
He smiles, acknowledging her. "Dost toh hote hi isliye hain na, Mahika, ki aapke kaam aaye. I'm glad I could be of help to you," he says.
