It was now the weekend, which the Mikaelson men were happy about as it meant they would get to sleep in because no one had to take their sister to school.
Rebekah, on the other hand, was dressed and ready for the day. All she needed to do was wake Kol up because there was something that they needed to do, more specifically there was someone that Kol needed to see as she had not told him about a certain someone being alive again.
She had debated whether to tell Kol about Henrik so soon but the fate of the family, and of course the supernatural world, depended on her. So, yeah, she needed get two of her brothers to meet after 1000 years. And she wasn't allowed to leave the house alone, which was another reason she needed Kol.
The Original left her room and quickly let herself into her youngest older brother's room.
The man was laying on his front, his head wasn't even on a pillow and his bed sheets were only covering from the waist down. The pillows had all fallen onto the floor, right next to the clothes he wore the day before.
'Honestly, how did Davina put up with this boy?' Rebekah wondered as she looked around in disgust.
She walked to the side of the bed and grabbed a hold of the bottom of the mattress before quickly lifting it, Kol instantly fell to the floor and woke up with a groan. The woman dropped the mattress back onto the bed and crossed her arms.
"Finally, you're awake. Hurry up and get ready, we leave in 30 minutes." With that said, she walked out of the room and decided to make some coffee to go whilst she waited.
It didn't take long for Kol to get ready and meet her in the foyer. He was pouting at being awoken so rudely but the blonde rolled her eyes and dragged him out to one of the cars she had stolen the keys for.
As revenge against his sister, Kol took sips of her coffee whilst she drove. Enjoying the annoyed look she got on her face each time he picked up the drink. "Where are we going? We better be doing something important or fun or else I am going to tell our brothers that you went against the rules."
"I am technically not breaking the rules. I was not allowed out of the house without one of you, so I took you with me."
"You are not meant to be driving."
"It's not like you can drive."
"Your grounding is going to be extended, Rebekah."
"It's not really such a bad thing for me to be grounded, brother. I haven't seen any of you for 60 years, some a bit longer than that. It wasn't like being put into a coffin and having to wait to be undaggered to see any of you again, you were all dead. I really was alone. Now I'm not and I am not going to take that for granted. I wish it didn't take me losing you all to figure that out."
He didn't expect a serious response from her, after all they were just joking around. Right?
Kol looked at his baby sister with sympathy once his mind understood what she had just said. He couldn't even begin to imagine what she felt when they were all gone. Despite all the problems the family had with each other, the problems he had with each sibling, he could never actually hate them. Losing any one of them would hurt but losing all of them would break him.
"How did you not break?" He found himself asking.
Rebekah remained silent for a few minutes, debating whether she should avoid the question or tell the truth. Finally, she spoke. "I never said that I didn't break."
The duo remained silent for the rest of the car ride. They felt relaxed in each other's company, and they felt safe.
Rebekah pulled up to the old witch house and turned to look at Kol. "Trust me?"
Kol answered her question by getting out of the car and running round to open her door. He rested his chin on the top of the car door as he waited for her to get out and gave her a small smile as he watched her gather herself.
The female Mikaelson walked into the house without hesitation and quickly led Kol to the basement.
Maybe she should have given both of her brothers a heads up instead of surprising them with one another. But she didn't exactly plan that far ahead.
When she found Henrik, he was laying on top of his sleeping bag looking at the schoolbooks that would help him with his homework, alongside a few planners that she had no doubt had Caroline written all over it.
"Hello, brother." Rebekah greeted, causing the boys head to snap up from his work with a grin on his face.
Kol stepped down the last step and stared at the young boy that he hadn't seen in 1000 years. "Bloody hell!" He exclaimed quietly.
Henrik gaze went to the troublesome Mikaelson in slight shock, he wasn't expecting to see any of his brothers so soon. "Kol, it has been a long time."
The elder Mikaelson felt like he should have fainted as soon as he set his eyes on Henrik. He looked almost the same as he did back then, except his hair was a little shorter and he was wearing modern day clothes. But it was still his baby brother, the one person who he thought he would never be able to see again.
With tears in his eyes, Kol walked over to Henrik and pulled him into a tight hug. The young boy didn't hesitate to hug back just as tightly.
Rebekah watched as tears filled her own eyes at the sight of the two. 'Soon all my brothers will be reunited. I'll make sure of it.' She thought.
"How is this possible?" Kol whispered loudly.
"Let's just say that there is a meddling witch on the Other Side that really wants to help and leave it at that." Henrik answered.
The brothers broke the hug after a while, both reluctant to let go of one another.
"How long have you been alive?" Kol asked as he looked around the room, quickly spotting the school equipment and personal belongings.
Henrik shared a guilty look with Rebekah. "Over a week. Rebekah didn't know until I showed up at school at the start of the term. Honestly, I didn't even know about any plan that involved me coming back to life. However, I am not going to waste the gift I have been given."
"Nik is going to be pissed at you for keeping this a secret, Rebekah." Kol sang.
The blonde already felt guilty about keeping this secret, but she knew it wasn't time to tell anyone else. "I have my reasons to keeping it a secret, our brothers will understand when the time comes and they can know the whole truth. Well, most of the truth."
Kol rubbed his forehead as if trying to ward of a migraine. He understood, really he did, but he also knows that it would take Niklaus a bit longer to accept the reasons their sister had than their other brothers.
"How about I wait outside whilst you two talk? I need to talk to a few people about some things." Rebekah didn't give them a chance to respond and sped off to her car. There were a few things she wanted to talk to Caroline, Davina, and Tamara about.
Sorry about the long wait, writers block has been a bitch for me this past year. But today I finally got past it. I'm sorry if this chapter is a little shorter than the others but for some reason I struggled a lot with this part but it was crucial for me to get this section out so the story could continue. Hopefully the next chapters will be easier to write. Once again, I am really sorry for the long wait but thank for be patient with me. I am not sure when the next chapter will be out, here is me praying that it comes out this month.
