Caroline and Davina were at home cooking dinner together as they wanted to try a recipe the found online, Liz was at work, so they were going to make sure that there were leftovers for her to have when she got back.

They had attempted to not make a mess of the kitchen but there was an inevitable food fight, not the first one to be had since Davina had arrived in Mystic Falls.

Caroline loved having Davina live with her. She was like the little sister she had always wanted, just like Rebekah was the older sister that she never dreamed of wanting but was so grateful to have. And Henrik was little brother she adored.

Being an only child to divorced parents wasn't easy, especially when one despised her existence since finding out that his daughter was a vampire, with the added fact that he wasn't around at all when he left her mother and she only got to see him three times or less a year.

The other was constantly working to provide for both her and her child, whilst also protecting the town as a Sheriff and a member of the council.

And then there was the issues with her friends. Ones that never make time for her but were always available for everyone else. Ones that were silently saying that they didn't want her around unless she was useful to them. What was worse was that all of that was happening long before vampires showed up in town.

So, Caroline was alone most of the time, maybe not in the physical sense as she was nearly surrounded by the cheer squad every day at school, but in every other sense of the word she was.

And then Rebekah came knocking on her door, with the Original came Tamara, then Davina, and then Henrik.

And suddenly the baby vampire wasn't alone anymore, she had people ask her how she was doing every single day, including her in plans that weren't involving her being a distraction, or potentially being murdered violently. These were fun plans, even if they weren't after school because one of them was grounded and the other couldn't be seen by his brothers besides Kol, but during one of their free periods.

It was the best experience she had ever had.

"Ok, I think this is now ready to go into the oven. It mostly looks like the video."

Davina looked at the food concoction apprehensively. "You know, maybe we should get Henrik to taste test this first when it's done."

"Why did I just get a bad feeling? What are you two planning?" Henrik asked from the living room. It wasn't the first time he had been at the house, in fact he had been going round since he was brought back to life.

Caroline had took it upon herself to teach him how to use modern technology, currently she was showing him video games.

It was what he was attempting to figure how to use while the girls were in the kitchen before he felt a sense of dread. It was a feeling he hadn't experienced in a thousand years. It was one he had always gotten when his siblings were planning to trick him or something along those lines.

"Nothing to worry about, Henrik." Davina called back to him. It did not calm his nerves.

"You know I do not believe you."

The witch tried desperately to hold back her laughter but inevitably failed. Her best friend laughed with her as the situation was just too funny.

Henrik sighed, "It's at times like this that I wish I was still dead."

"Don't be so dramatic, Henr...y. Henry." Caroline quickly stopped herself from saying his true name as she heard someone coming up to the front door. "Kensi, why don't you go into the living room and I'll clean everything up." She gave Davina a gesture to the front door.
