Julie's POV
Four years had passed since that morning when I walked away from Minho. Four years since the note, the kiss on his forehead, the silent goodbye.
Now, standing in the church decorated with white roses and golden ribbons, I tried to steady my breathing. This was supposed to be Yeji's big day, not mine. She was radiant at the altar, her hands trembling with happiness as she held Hyunjin's.
But my heart wasn't steady. It hadn't been since I heard the news that Minho would be here.
As the music swelled, I glanced at the crowd. And there he was.
Minho.
Dressed in a black suit, his hair swept neatly back, his smile faint as he congratulated the couple. He looked older, sharper, but still the boy I remembered. Still the boy I loved.
My chest tightened. He hadn't seen me yet.
Minho's POV
Weddings were supposed to be about joy, about promises and forever. But all I could think about was her. Julie.
When Yeji told me she might come back for the wedding, I hadn't believed it. After all these years, why would she?
But then I felt it. A shift in the air. My eyes landed on her across the reception hall.
Julie.
She looked breathtaking in her soft blue dress, her hair framing her face just like before. My chest ached with something I couldn't name. Relief? Anger? Longing? All of it.
And then her eyes found mine.
Everything around us—the music, the laughter, the clinking glasses—faded. It was just us, frozen in that moment.
Julie's POV
I wanted to run. I wanted to stay.
The entire night, we danced around each other, caught in stolen glances, avoiding conversation. Until finally, fate pushed us together.
The bouquet toss ended in chaos, laughter filling the air, and somehow, I stumbled right into him.
Minho caught me by the arm, steadying me. His touch was the same—warm, grounding.
"Still clumsy," he muttered, his voice low. But there was no anger in it, only a softness that made my heart ache.
"Still saving me," I whispered back.
Silence stretched between us, filled with years of words left unsaid.
Minho's POV
I should've been furious. I should've told her how much it hurt when she left. But instead, the only thing I could say was:
"Why didn't you tell me you were leaving that day?"
Her eyes shimmered with tears. "Because if I looked at you, I wouldn't have been able to walk away."
That broke me.
"Do you know how many times I read that note?" My voice cracked. "Do you know how long I waited, Julie?"
She reached for my hand, hesitant but desperate. "And do you know how many nights I wished I hadn't left?"
The music slowed, couples filling the dance floor. Without thinking, I pulled her into the soft sway of the song. She fit against me perfectly, like no time had passed.
Julie's POV
Dancing in his arms under the soft glow of the wedding lights, I felt years of pain unravel. The ache, the distance, the regret—it all melted into this one moment.
"I still love you," I whispered, barely audible over the music.
He stilled, his hand tightening at my waist. "Say it again."
"I still love you, Minho."
His forehead rested against mine, his voice trembling. "Then don't leave again. Please. Stay."
Tears slid down my cheeks as I nodded. "Forever, this time."
Final Scene
The crowd cheered for the bride and groom, but for me, this was my own kind of beginning. In the middle of someone else's forever, I had found mine.
