Josh's POV

Longest car ride of my life. I just want to be at Corys right now, asleep. I'm definitely not driving anywhere anytime soon. I wonder what Topangas cooking right now, God I hope it's her tater tots mmmmm I could really eat something right now.

All these thoughts were running through my mind as the painfully slow elevator was making its way up to Cory's apartment.

I walk in. Empty. I sigh as I put my things down and slam right on to the couch and groan into the pillow, smushed against my face about my hunger and tiredness and love life.

Melanie....

Maya's POV

SHIT SHIT SHIT what WAS that, I grabbed the closest thing towards me and saw what it was. A hairdryer. Great, Maya, what're gonna do with that? Give them nice volumed hair??

I quickly grab the most dangerous thing you could find in Riley's room, a clothes hanger. Trust me when I tell you I looked everywhere, this is as good as it gets. I got two out, one for each hand. And quietly opened the door and ran to the living room in darkness as the figure rises and tries to stop me but I jump onto its back and try and get I think 'him' into the ground. "STOP WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! WHO ARE YOU?!?!" He shouted. I just carried on screaming and attacking. I immediately stop as the door opens and the light turns on. The Matthews. About time. I got off and run straight towards them, "guys you'll never guess what just happened!!" I say, terrified, but before I could even finish that sentence a VERY angry Cory interrupts me, "Josh!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
"WHAT?!" Both me and Josh shout
"SHE'S the one who attacked ME" he states. Not gonna lie, he was quite good looking.
"That's only because- whoa, woah, woah! You two KNOW each other?! How?!" I ask. Cory breaks into a massive smirk and looks at the boy, "my brotha" and opens his arm out for a hug. "MA brothaaa" the boy shouts and hugs his 'brother'. What is happening?
"Now Maya, what is going on?" Topanga laughs
"Yeah, Maya what were you doing?" Riley joins.

Josh's POV

Perfect start for the next four years of my life. That's right, I'm going to college in the one and only NYC.
"I don't know, Riles," Maya says, "I was in your room, watching PLL and I heard something and knew it wasn't you guys so I ran in here-"
"And beated me up" I finished
"Yeahhh, sorry about that" she saw to me, I nod at her signalling it was ok. Secretly it wasn't but j couldn't let them know that.
"Ha ha Josh got beat up by a GIRL" Auggie bursts out. I run up to him and pick him up and spin him around in the air, making him stop, as Topanga and Cor bring in the rest of the groceries.
"Touché" I say and walk off to the kitchen, leaving Auggie trying to figure out what that meant. "So, Topanga, what're you cooking tonight?"

"I don't know Josh but I'm guessing you want tater tots" she laughs
"YESSS" I squeeze her into a hug and take my stuff to my room. And start to unpack.

Riley's POV

I'm so excited that Uncle Josh is back home but I still don't trust him. Not after what happened. Georgie from my Chemistry class told me that her cousins neighbours daughter went out with Uncle Josh. Her name was Michelle, Margret- MELANIE!! That was is. And rumour has it, she broke up with him because he got caught sleeping with another girl. I know, right? After that I stopped trusting him completely. They were the cutest couple, after my mom and dad, they were my otp, they were perfect for each other. And after that "incident" his texts were lessened, as were his phone calls, and even his visits. He blocked us out completely for his own mistakes.

"Riley! Come help me with the groceries" mom called
"Coming!" I replied and grabbed Maya's arm to help me.

Maya's POV

Josh kept making a little eye contact with me but every time he DID, it felt like it was a dirty look. I might be wrong but it's the way I saw it, I could've misread it and/or it could've been his relaxing face, we don't know.

Wait, why am I thinking about Josh? My best friends uncle, uncle. I could never "date" him in a million years. I can't like him, I don't.

But what if I do? Whenever he did look at me I got butterflies, and it was different from the ones I used to get when I saw Brandon, a better different.

It was killing me inside, and on the outside, man, when the Matthews go out shopping, there's probably nothing left in the damn store!

"Riles..?" I mumbled
"Hmm?" She hummed, whilst perfecting the fruit bowl
"Can I ask you something, about Josh..?" I slowly yet quickly asked, in the corner of my eye, I saw Josh's ears perk up when he heard his name
"..sureeeee" she turned to face me
"Actually, let's talk about it later" I smiled and she gave a confused smile back

A couple minutes later, we then went into Riley's bedroom
"So what did you want to ask me?" She asked me. I looked at her, sort of surprised, that she remembered about it since she hardly ever talks to me about him. And plus she's the most forgetful person ever.
"Umm.. I- well.. I don't know how to- basically I-" I stumbled, when Riley interrupted with a VERY unimaginable 'Riley' statement, "Listen, Maya if I think what I think you're thinking is RIGHT, then I don't want to go there, Josh is bad news. You can't go running around liking guys like him. Take Brandon as an example. Josh is a jerk and always will be!" She huffed as she dramatically dropped at the edge of her bed. I, taking back on what she just said, mumbled "ok.."
"I'm sorry Maya it's just-"
"What, Riles?" I threw my arms dramatically in the air, " you never even talk about him, ever! And now you're getting mad at me for asking one goddamn question. Could you blame me for being curious? And that wasn't AT ALL on what my question was by the way." I plop on the bay window.
"Maya," Riley signed and came to sit next to me and held my hand, "I'm really sorry for just yelling at you like it's just- Josh hurt us, ok?"
"What do you mean, Riles? I mean if you mean physically then I will go over there right now and rip his head off his body" I clenched my fists, imitating my ninja moves I was about to make, to mid air. Riley put her hand over mine to calm me down and I instantly felt protected. "Haha no Maya, I don't mean in that way. He made a stupid mistake. Us, as a family, could've gotten through it and forgave him. But he chose to shut us out and just abandon us like who does that?!" She cried. I pulled her head down on my shoulder, "it's ok, Riles." But I knew it wasn't.
