Riley's POV

Me and Maya went to the substation and we sat there in pure silence. Whilst the normal weird New York shenanigans carried on happening in the background.

After about 30-45 minutes of a nervous anxious jam-packed train ride we finally arrived there.

We stood up from our seats and I stopped Maya from walking out with my arm.

"Wait Maya, you need to sorta a little bit be blindfolded." I say quickly and protect myself from a beat down.

"What are you talking about Riley?" She asked pulling me out the train.

"It's a surprise and we're not fully there yet and you can't see where we're going..!" I exclaim

"Riles, I'm not wearing a blindfo-"

"Great. We're on the same page." I cut her off, wrapping the blindfold over her eyes and pushing her, guiding her up the subway stairs and wait about 2 minutes for Logan to pull over, damn Josh planned this out literally perfectly.

Maya's POV

I was so scared to what the hell what going on. But I had Riley so I was fine.

I heard a car pull over and I heard Riley talking to some dude and come over to me.

"Maya? I'm going to guide you to the car where Lo- I mean my friend here, is going to drive you to your surprise and your guest is waiting there for you right now." She says in a calm way as I feel in front of me for the backseats of the car and sit down.

"What wait you're not coming? Then Riley it's simple, I'm not going." I say about to get out of he car.

"Sorry. I LOVE YOU." she says slamming the car door on me.

"Ril- RILEY WHAT THE FUCK! RILEY?!!! GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!" I scream, throwing the blindfold off and trying to push the door open.

The male enters the car and begins to drive quickly off.

"Hello?! Excuse me? Driver dude!!" I scream trying to get his attention.

"Yeah, hey sugarcube. Calm down. This is probably freaking you out but you gotta trust me on this ok."

"Oh my god this can't be happening." I say looking outside at the evening rain. "Worst birthday ever." I mumble.

"Ok listen from what I've heard about you from- from my boss?" He said the last part in a panic and confusion. He stops the car. "They, and I, don't want to 'ruin' your birthday." He turns to face me. "So how bout this, " he smiles "you can leave right now." the doors click, he'd unlocked them "or come sit over here and I'll give you the aux cord and you can maybe give the person a chance and maybe this birthday won't suck."

I thought about it. And he was right. I should just give him a chance and I trust Riley. And hey, if things don't go to plan, this still won't be be worst birthday ever... Don't get me started.

"Ok stranger I trust you. Weirdly." I get out the car and run around to the passenger seat.

We played the radio and we started to talk, he was really nice. And we had the same sense of humour which automatically made him my new best friend. He said he wasn't allowed to tell me his name, yet but he said that he was 20, and be gave me his number and said that we should be friends. After about 25 minutes of driving to God knows where, we arrived. And thankfully the rain had stopped.

I got out of the car and stood right in front of a gigantic fountain.

"By the way Maya, the names Logan, and I'm really sorry that we hurt you." He grinned and drove off.
