Chapter 8: Circle of Love

Nathalie’s POV:

As Elizabeth said the name “Andrew”, my heartbeat skipped for a while. I don’t know, maybe Juliette is right…that I like him. Andrew is my best friend since we were kids, we used to play always, and go to each other’s house… we are basically like siblings and we’ve shared a lot of memories already. Andrew has blue eyes, tall, athletic body, and a varsity in basketball but the only thing that made me confused is he never had a girlfriend even a lot of girls wants to be the one. I always wanted to ask him why he doesn’t ask any girl for a date but I’m really getting shy and hide into my shell whenever I’m about to ask him about this. His friends told me that Andrew has a secret crush on me but I don’t believe them because I feel that he just treats me like his sister but for me, he’s more than just a best friend.

“Uhmm, I don’t know… I’ll think about this first. What about you Juliette?” Nathalie asked her.

“Me??? Uhhh. I think I’ll just grab some stranger out there to be my date. How about that?” she said and winked on us.

“What the hell are you talking about?! That isn’t fair!” I said and realized that I made myself stand.

“You know that I don’t have any guy out here… I don’t know. I’ll just worry about this later, okay! What about you, Michelle? Oops! I forgot you already have Tyler!” Juliette said and rolled her eyes and grabbed her phone.

“Yes! Actually, he’s the one who told me about this date thing.” Michelle said and made the biggest smile ever and I can see the spark in her eyes.

Michelle’s POV:

In our circle of friends, I am the only one who has a boyfriend and it is really weird because the rest of the girls are all gorgeous but they’re just so picky. But I can say that I’m so very happy with Tyler and I am also indeed a lucky one. Tyler has blue eyes, blonde hair, tall, and has these cute dimples. At first, we were enemies like cats and dogs that keep on arguing and teasing each other but one day, we had this deep talk and I realized that he is really a nice guy. He asked me for a date and I refused it because I’m that kind of hard-to-get girl. One day, he asked me to go out and hangout somewhere. I already agreed because I know he’ll never stop on asking me. He blindfolded me and when he took it off, we were in a very beautiful place, like a paradise! We watched the sunset and he asked me to be his girlfriend. I already have this feeling for him and I’m just waiting for him to formally ask me. I said yes and he shouted out for joy… it is the happiest day in my life.

“Michelle! Are you dreaming or what? You’re like floating in heaven!” Elizabeth said to me and gave me a weird look.

“Yes! I’m sorry, I just remembered something. So what about you Elizabeth? Is there someone out there you’re thinking to be your date?” Michelle asked and still has this spark on her eyes. She is definitely in love!

“Uhmm, Aaron already asked me if I can be his date but I don’t know what to reply. Maybe if I have no choice, I’ll be with him.” She replied.

“Awww. That’s so sweet.” I said with my hands on my cheeks and smiled.

Elizabeth’s POV:

Aaron is really a nice guy. He’s been asking me to be his girlfriend for about a year already and I still don’t have any feelings for him. He’s a sweet guy and gentleman, he’s always there for me… supporting me and being my best guy mate. He has brown eyes, black hair, tall, and one of the nicest guys in school. I already told him that my priority is my studies and family that’s why I’m not really into commitment but he said that he’s willing to wait for forever which made me feel like the most special girl ever.

Izzy, who’s going to be your date on Saturday? Elizabeth asked me in a serious tone.

“Joe is asking me to be my date but you all know that I don’t like him. That’s why maybe, I’ll just wait for someone nicer to ask me out.” I said and sighed.

Izzy’s POV:

I took a deep breath when Elizabeth asked me on who’s going to be my date. I know in myself that I’m really annoyed to Joe, he’s a total jerk and has all the girls in his hand and I don’t want to be one. I felt kind of disappointed because my best friends already have a guy to check out, but me… I can’t find my prince charming. Maybe, I just have to wait for the perfect time and for my perfect guy.

“Don’t worry Izzy, maybe your 100th airplane guy or let me say your impossible and nonsense guy will be the one who’ll ask you!” Juliette said nodding her head and burst out laughing.

“That wasn’t funny! You know, you’re so immature. I’m tired, I’ll go home now.” I said to them rolling my eyes and walked by.

“Roasted!!! Juliette, maybe you should try to be serious at times when the topic is descent and confidential.” Nathalie took her bags, said goodbye and also walked ahead.

“It’s okay Juliette, everything’s just a mess right now. She’ll just have to think for herself. Let’s go now?” Elizabeth approached Juliette and Michelle. They also headed back to home with a sense of a bit silence and sadness.

As I ran upstairs and went to my room, I lay to my bed and took a deep breath. My mind is still clueless and I don’t know I feel kind of sad without any reason… I hate this feeling! I’m not really angry to Juliette, it’s just that I’m thinking so deep on that moment and kind of worried.

My phone vibrated and it’s a text from Juliette; “I’m sorry if I made you kind of mad, I was just joking and I hope everything will be fine.”

I replied quickly; “You don’t have to say sorry, I don’t take it seriously. It’s just that I have something on my mind that time and I passed out my angry feelings to you, I’m sorry.”

I took a deep breath and felt a kind of relief. I just have to take some rest, instead and let it be.
