Elizabeth’s POV:

I, Stefanie and my other new friends were at the mall. We’re having a great time when suddenly Aaron pulled me away from my friends.

“Are you crazy?” I said in a loud and annoyed tone.

“I’m sorry but what’s happening to you?” He asked.

“I don’t understand you, I’m busy.” I said and walked away from him and he pulled me back again.

“Listen to me first, okay.” He said and took a deep breathe.

“What’s the matter?” I rolled my eyes.

“Do you know what’s happening with your girls?” He asked me and looked straight into my eyes.

“I don’t know and I don’t care.” I said, not looking in his eyes.

“Kimberly’s condition is getting worse, Juliette is out of the group because of his Dad, Nathalie is with her volleyball team friends, and Izzy is with her cheerleading friends! Your strong friendship is now a mess and you don’t care about it! Well to be honest, I’m worried about you and your girls but I’m more worried about you Elizabeth. You know that I care so much about you and I don’t want to see you like this. You’ve changed so much!” He said in a serious face.

“So what?!” I shouted and rolled my eyes.

“You don’t care? Woah, you’re not the same Elizabeth I used to know.” He said.

“I don’t care about them and you don’t have to worry about me because I’m doing fine and I absolutely don’t care about you, you’re not my boyfriend so can you please back off in my life? I don’t want to see you anymore!!!” I shouted.

“I know there’s something wrong. I know you have a valid reason why you’re doing this to us. But whatever it is, hope you realize what matters most in your life and think about the people who have been there for you through it all.” He replied in a soft tone.

“You know what, you’re wasting my time! You’re pointless! I’m not that boring innocent Elizabeth anymore! I don’t want you all in my life now!!!” I said not looking to him.

“I hope you know that you’re constantly losing a lot of people who truly care about you.” He said in a soft tone and walked away from me.

“Whatever.” I said and went back to Stefanie and my other friends.

“What was that?” Stefanie asked and glared at me.

“It’s nothing, just a waste of my precious time.” I said and smiled at her.

“You know me Elizabeth. You better do the right thing, or else… you know what will happen.” She said and rolled some strand of her hair.

“I know Stefanie, I won’t back out.” I replied and took a deep breathe.

I looked outside to see if Aaron was still there but he was already out of my sight. I sighed and followed Stefanie.

“If only I could tell him…” I said in my mind.
