Chapter 10: Unexpected Dates

“Mom, I will go to my friend’s house tonight. There will be a party, don’t worry I’m with my best friends and if you want, James can pick me up.” I said to her and hoping she’ll permit me to go.

“Alright, but James will pick you up at 11:00pm.” She said smiling and continues to cook for dinner.

“OMG YES!!! THANK YOU MOM!” I hurriedly kissed her in the cheek and hugged her so tight. I then ran upstairs to get ready.

In full of excitement and happiness, I didn’t realize I’m jumping on my bed. I also texted my 4 girls to come here at 7:00pm so that I’m not going to go there alone and would feel like an awkward carrot.

It took me a lot of time to decide what to wear, I should look fabulous! I wore an animal-print cropped top, brownish faux fur vest, a sparkly black skirt that really draws my curves, accessories, and killer heels. I put smoky eye shadows, liquid eye liner, mascara, natural color for lipstick and as well as my blush on.

By the time that that I went downstairs, I saw my 4 girls… wow! They all looked so gorgeous and still classy.

“Izzy! Faster! We’ll be late!!!” Nathalie said glaring at me while she ran a hand on the strands of her hair.

“Nathalie, we shouldn’t be hurrying up! This is not some sort of school time where there is bell and annoying teachers. It’s a party! We can go there so late if we want to, and being late is much better in parties because you know… you’ll get more attention.” Juliette said and make a very sweet-slash-annoying-smile and winked at me, no wonder she still doesn’t have a boyfriend.

“You girls are so excited huh! Anyway, where are your dates???” I asked them looking so confused.

“Well, because you texted us to come here with you so they’re currently waiting for us at the gate on the party house! Let’s go now!!!” Michelle said looking a bit mad… maybe because she’s so excited to see her boyfriend, I can tell.

Suddenly my phone rang. It’s Joe.

“Hey beautiful, are you all already done? I’m still waiting here outside for a ride.” He said and I just realized that he’s waiting there for so long.

“Okay, we’ll be heading there now.” I said and hang the phone.

“Girls, Joe will take us there because uhmm yeah, he’s my date for tonight.” I sighed because I don’t really want him to be my date it’s just that tonight; I’ll tell him that he has no chance for me.

“Don’t try to explain. It’s okay for us if you really want him. Don’t worry!” Michelle tapped me in the back like saying ‘I’m happy for you.’ Oh! She’s ridiculous, Joe is not my type.

“What the hell! You’ll know later so let’s go now?” We all left the house and took the ride with Joe.

“I’m so excited to see who your dates are!” Michelle said smiling to us. I can read her expressions, she’s indeed really can’t wait.

“We’re now here ladies!” Joe said and he went outside the car and opened the car door for us, such a gentleman…. Just for tonight.

“Hey love! You look so beautiful like ever.” Tyler ran towards Michelle, hugged her and kissed on the forehead, it’s really sweet.

“Don’t get jealous to them, I can hug and kiss you as well.” Joe smirked at me when he noticed that I’m looking to the couple over there. He’s so arrogant; I want to throw him up in the Pacific Ocean.

“No thanks, that would be gross.” I walked away and of course, he ran towards me. I can’t take this anymore!!!

“Hey Nathalie, wow you look so great!” Andrew gave Nathalie big hug like he wants to suffocate this girl but for me it’s really cute seeing them like this, they’re like cute couples in the movies.

“You want to suffocate me, don’t you? You look amazing.” Nathalie said to Andrew and I can see that he blushed… aww so cute.

“You’re here finally, I thought you decided to have other guy to be your date.” Aaron said to Elizabeth, it’s quite obvious to this guy that he’s really happy.

“Of course not, I won’t make an agreement and turn back to it.” Elizabeth smiled at her.

“Wait Juliette, where’s your date? Better pick some random stranger here now!” I said and we all burst out laughing, but I can see that she’s pretty mad, her arms were folded and still waiting.

“Hey little girl, you’re waiting for me? Hahaha!” Blake jumped in front of Juliette and made a teasing smile.

“You never have been a gentleman, like ever! I should prefer my cat to be my date than you, I should have thought that!” Juliette said rolling her eyes and she’s like a volcano waiting to erupt.

“Do you know that a lot of girls want to be my date and they’re even closer to my heart but I chose you because you looked like an abandoned puppy that doesn’t have anyone to be her date?!” Blake made Juliette even mad. These two are really like cats and dogs, always quarreling.

“I think we better go inside now, it’s getting a bit cold here.” I asked to them while hushing myself.

“FREE HUGS HERE!!!” Joe screamed at my ear. He’s so annoying.

I just act like I didn’t hear it and we all walked inside the house. The sound of the music really wants us to go dance now. This will be a great night.

Walking inside, a lot of people stared at us like we’re criminals but of course we didn’t mind it. We’ll going to rock this house!

“Hey guys! Finally you’re here! And I’m pretty shock at your date, Juliette.” said Abigail, the one who planned this party. She’s also our close friend and indeed very beautiful.

“Whatever! So, what’s up?” Juliette asked in a very annoyed tone.

“Nothing much, go pick your place and have fun!” Abigail pointed those free seats to us and we walked by there.

I can hear those people murmuring about me and Joe. They literally think I’m dating him, what the hell!

“Hey guys, Tyler and I will be out for a bit. We’ll just rock the dance floor! You better follow us as well.” Michelle said and headed towards the dance floor, maybe this couple will be the only one who’ll going to have a lot of fun tonight.
