Will You Still Love Me? ~ Ch. 2

The tiny essence trapped inside the giant, globe-like structure danced impatiently, glowing in shadowy black with a hint of silver every time it struck the glass, its pace alternating between slow and quick.

"So.... that's the thing possessing your kind?" Jace asked, his mismatched eyes trailing the movement of the essence. They all were gathered in the Lightwood Chamber of the castle, Alec's office, where they had decided to keep the structure Magnus' mother had portalled behind a giant glass cell, warded protectively by the combined magic of Maryse and Alec.

It had been two days since Alec found out about Magnus' true form, and he was far beyond grateful to be accepted by not just Alec but his whole family. It was hard for him to tell them the truth, but he had to since his mother sent a royal letter addressing Alec, stating that he would be representing them as they worked together to provide them justice when he was with Alec in his apartment.

The message was received by Maryse in Alec's absence, and she let others know the same. But Magnus was still afraid; hence, only moments ago, he let others know about his truth when they finally received the essence from his mother, and he was no longer able to stall the reason for Prince Varcãr's (his) apparent absence till now.

"I still can't believe we knew the Prince this whole time," Luke stated, eyes still fixed on the sliver of that essence.

"Would your reaction be the same if I had told you people before, Luke?" Magnus asked, his voice still shaky and thick. This caused Luke to lower his gaze, and others to glance between them as Magnus felt Alec's hand gently clasping his.

"Sorry, kid," Luke spoke slowly, "We all had been blinded by false rumors and believed.... your species to be evil and a threat to the world. We're really sorry about everything we ever said and did against your kind."

"All I can say is... I'm glad to be accepted for being me and not feared by... the people I have ever loved." He said as a few more tears fell on his face.

"Magnus...." Alec spoke softly, making him turn towards his boyfriend, who gently wiped his tears, his soft hazel eyes filled with concern and love. "You have nothing to worry about. Everyone here loves you. And we'll do everything to help in clearing the fear surrounding your species. You are far from being evil. The energy I feel every time you shift... it's...." He licked his lips, as if trying to gather the right word for what he wanted to convey. "It's... magical... it's mystical, pure. No one in their right mind who would ever come across you would think you're evil."

"Thank you, Alexander," Magnus said through the lump in his throat. "You have no idea how much this means to me."

"Let's get back to business, boys," Izzy spoke, having a hint of a smile on her lips. "Raphael would be here in a while, but.... do we still need Crystal Werewolf's help? What did the Queen of Thryvalcans say?"

"Ma said that it'll be better if we could take the crystal werewolf's help too, it'll be easier to locate the coordinates in the universe if we had the help from these two specific werewolf species." Magnus addressed the crowd in front, "I've told her that we might not know who it is, and honestly, I don't either, but she said she had seen Alexander interact with the leader; that's why she suggested that."

"I've what?" Alex stuttered, "When? And how?"

"I don't know when, darling. Maybe a general interaction or your monthly meetings." Magnus said, "I'm afraid I can't tell how. I still can't speak of our powers so openly, even if I trust you all."

"It's okay, Magnus," Alec reassured. "So this leader, we... I might know that person, but doesn't know he or she is a crystal werewolf. Isn't there any other way? Because you said yourself, we could think of something if that person doesn't want to reveal themselves. Didn't Queen say anything about it?"
