Chapter 25
<< A FEW HOURS LATER >>
*** HARRY'S POINT OF VIEW. ***
The boys and I were sitting in the lobby area of the hospital. Perrie, Danielle, Eleanor, and Chandler were there too. Chandler nervously bit her fingers, waiting for the doctor to come in telling us that we can go and see Sadie.
"Perrie, what happened? You witnessed it all." Zayn said, looking at the floor and then up at Perrie.
"Sadie and I were sitting there on the bleachers. She looked like she could fall over any second. She looked exhausted. She told me that she was going to go get a drink of water. She got up and started walking away...then she fell over." Perrie said, looking down at her hands.
"I just don't understand how she thought she was well enough to go to the basketball practice." Chandler said, still biting her nails.
"Harry!" Cooper said, running through the front doors of the hospital.
"Cooper pooper scooper!" I said, holding my arms out. Cooper ran into my arms and wrapped his little arms around my shoulders.
"Alright, what happened?" Rhonda asked, walking into the hospital.
Perrie explained what had happened. Rhonda was mad at the fact that Sadie left the house when she is still very sick. Rhonda and Cooper sat down in the empty seats next to me. Cooper and I goofed around until a doctor started walking our way.
"Hello Mrs. Chester, so glad you can make it." The doctor shook Rhonda's hand after she got up from her chair.
"Of course. So what's wrong with Sadie?" Rhonda asked.
"Well, you told us on the phone she has the flu. But then we noticed that she is very dehydrated and her iron levels are pretty low. That would be the main reason for her passing out. She should be fine though." The doctor said, looking at a clipboard he held in his hands.
"Can we go see her?" Danielle asked.
"Yes but don't expect of getting much out of her. She hasn't awaken yet." The doctor said, "She's in room 204 on the third floor."
And with that the doctor walked away.
*** SADIE'S POINT OF VEIW. ***
I slowly opened my eyes. I was confused. I was walking to go get a drink and then everything turned black. Now I was hooked up to a big, medal machine and I was lying in a hospital bed. It was quiet in the room and very dark. The only light source in the room was a tiny lamp that sat in the corner of the room and the light from the hallway peeking through the little window on the door. I sat in bed, looking around the room. I felt extremely dizzy and nauseous. About that time the door slowly opened. I was expecting to see Chandler or Harry. But it was only a nurse.
"Hello Sadie. How are you feeling?" The nurse asked.
"Same. I still feel dizzy." I said, biting the inside of my lip.
"Hm." The nurse said. She was writing stuff down on a clipboard when she looked up at me and said, "I'm Janice, by the way."
"Hi Janice." I said, giving her a little wave. "Is my aunt still here?"
"Who's your aunt?" Janice asked.
"Rhonda Chester...I'm pretty sure she was here earlier. Well, I wouldn't know that because I was zonked out. But being her, I bet she came over to check on me." I said, looking at the IV's in my arm.
"She was here. She had to leave due to visiting hours. She should back again with your friends later on today." Janice said.
I looked up at the clock, it was three in the morning. I found my phone on a little moveable table, the table you use to put your food and stuff on when you're in the hospital, that little table. I reached and grabbed the corner of the table and pulled it over to my bed. I picked up my phone and turned it on. My home screen was filled with text messages and missed calls from Danielle, Eleanor, Perrie, Zayn, Liam, Niall, Louis, Harry, and Chandler. I got more text messages from Chandler, Harry, and Louis. They're so sweet. I replied to everyone's messages. I sat my phone down on the table and it vibrated again. It was from Harry. Why is he still up? I texted him back. Here was our conversation:
S: Yoooo boiiii! Why are you still up? You have school in a few hours!
H: I'm worried about you and it's keeping me awake. :( And plus it is Friday so it doesn't really matter! :P
S: Awe! Don't worry about a thing! I'm fine, just a little dizzy and sick to my stomach. :/
H: :( I just wish that you would get better.
S: You and me both, babe.
H: Actually...you know what.
S: WUT? :I
H: I'll see you soon. :3
S: What are you talking about? O.O
After that he never replied. I'm guessing that he meant he would see me later on today. I shut my phone off and say it on the table. I laid there in the hospital bed for a while before falling asleep.
--
Do you ever get that feeling that someone is starring at you? Like whenever you're just standing there and you just feel really uncomfortable. I was getting that feeling. I felt like someone was standing in my room, starring at me while I was sleeping. I slowly opened my eyes. There at the foot of my bed sat Harry, I screamed. Harry quickly got up and put his hand over my mouth.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, after Harry took his hand away from my mouth once I stopped screaming.
"I thought I would come and keep you company!" Harry said, sitting on the bed next to me. He held my hand in his. "How are you feeling?"
"Same as last time. My body hurts so bad." I said, brushing my thumb on the backside of his hand.
"I really wish that there was something I could do." Harry said, looking me in the eyes.
"There's really nothing we can do. But how did you get passed the nurse? Visiting hours don't start till nine." I asked.
"I just walked up here. The hallways are pretty empty. Nothing real exciting happens in Vixen, Missouri at four in the morning." Harry said, looking at the door.
"Harry, you seriously need to sleep. You have school in a few hours." I said, giving him a pleading look.
"I'm not going to school. I'm going to stay here with you, to make sure you're okay!"
"Harry..." I said.
"No! I'm staying here and that's final! There's nothing you can do to make me go home!" Harry said, hunching his body over.
His eyes were leveled with mine. I was a little mad because he was skipping school because of me. I mean, it's not like I had only a certain number of hours to live. I was going to be fine. Harry could tell that I was mad because he leaned in and crashed his lips agains mine. I felt the corners of my mouth curl up into a smile, Harry's lips did the same. He pulled away a couple seconds after.
"I knew you couldn't stay mad at me." Harry said in this sing song voice before pecking me on the lips again.
Harry got up from the bed and pulled the covers back. He asked me to scoot over so I did. Harry slipped into the bed and pulled the covers over our bodies. Harry laid on his back and I laid on my side. My arm rested on his stomach and my hand on his chest. He wrapped his arm around my backside. Harry and I sat there talking, after a while I let out a big yawn.
"Is somebody tired?" Harry asked, shooting me this really adorable look.
"Just a little." I said, resting my head on his shoulder. Harry hummed the tune of "If I'm James Dean, You're Audrey Hepburn."
"Stay for tonight...if you want to, I can show you what my dreams are made of as I'm dreaming of your face. I've been away for a long time, such a long time and I miss you there. I can't imagine being anywhere else, I can't imagine being anywhere else but here.
"How the hell did you ever pick me? Honestly, because I can sing you a song...but I don't think words can express your beauty. Sing it to me, how the hell did we end up like this? You bring out the beast in me, I fell in love from the moment we kissed...since then we've been history. They say that love is forever...but your forever is all that I need. Please stay, as long as you need. Can't promise that things won't be broken but I'll swear that we'll never leave. Please stay, please forever with me." Harry quietly sang to me as I began to fall asleep.
