Chapter 27

*** SADIE'S POINT OF VIEW. ***

I woke up to Harry snoring. I opened my eyes and sat up in bed. I looked over at Cooper and Harry. They were both sound asleep and it looked like they were spooning, I couldn't help but laugh. But Harry was snoring and it was loud! I picked up my pillow and smacked him in the head with it.

"What was that for?" Harry mumbled, lifting his head up from the pillow.

"You're snoring and it's loud." I said, lying back down on the bed.

"Whatever, I don't snore." Harry said, putting his head on his pillow and closing his eyes.

"Yes you do, Harry." Cooper whispered.

"Someone agrees with me!" I said, laughing.

I layed my head back down on the pillow and talked to Harry and Cooper. Cooper was jumping around on the bed and swinging his pillow pet around. Then he stopped.

"Sanie, we have to go!" Cooper said, jumping off the bed.

"What? Why?" I asked.

"It's nine thirty, I have football practice!" Cooper shouted, running down the hallway to his room.

Harry got up from the bed and ran after Cooper. Shit, I can't believe I forgot about Cooper's practice! I'm the one who has to fill in for my dad since he's gone! My dad seriously coaches every sport in Vixen, it's so stupid and so crazy. I ran into Rhonda's closet. I looked through her shirts trying to find a "Vixen Bulldogs" shirt since all of mine were dirty. I found one and slid it over my head. I ran back into the room and grabbed a pair of sweats out of my suitcase. I slid my pajama shorts off and put on the sweat pants. I went into the bathroom and quickly brushed my teeth, brushed my hair and put on some deodorant. I pulled my hair up into a messy bun and started making my way downstairs when I heard Cooper and Harry shouting.

"What is going on?" I asked.

"Harry! Those cleats!" Cooper said, sitting on his bed and pointing to his closet.

Harry picked up a pair of cleats and said "These ones?"

"No!" Cooper shouted, "Those are my baseball cleats! The other ones!"

"What's the difference!?" Harry said, throwing the cleats down.

"The spikes on my football cleats are really pointy!" Cooper said, throwing his head back and letting out a sigh. "Oh my gosh, Sanie! Help him!"

I walked over to Cooper's closet and got the football cleats down from the shoe shelf in his closet. I sat down in front of Cooper and helped him tie them since we were running low on time. I told Harry to run downstairs to the kitchen and to grab something for Cooper to eat. Harry left and came back a few minutes later with a banana. He peeled the banana as I picked up Cooper and started rushing down the stairs.

"What's the rush?" Harry asked as I grabbed my purse and opened the front door.

"Well, since my dad is gone I have to fill in for him. We have ten minutes until we have to be there and I would like to get there." I said, opening the car door and placing Cooper into his car seat.

Harry and I got into the car. Harry took a bite of Cooper's banana and handed it to Cooper. Cooper about had a fit until I told him that we would go out to eat for lunch. I backed out of the driveway and we were on our way to the football field!

*** HARRY'S POINT OF VIEW. ***

Sadie and I stood on the side lines of the football field.

"This is so stupid." Sadie said, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
