Chapter 35

*** SADIE'S POINT OF VIEW. ***

It's been a week since my parents came home. At the moment, we're still living together. My dad is trying to find a place to stay and my mom tries to get out of the house every chance she gets. My parents keep telling me that none of this is my fault and I'm getting so annoyed by it. They try to comfort me with hugs and buying me things, I don't like it. Harry and the rest of the group are the only people that can cheer me up.

My mom was out shopping with a friend and my dad was downstairs in the living room, where he has been nonstop these past few days. He just sits on the couch and looks at houses for sale. He's also been out of the house a few times, he goes and hangs out with friends and tries to take his mind off of everything.

I was upstairs in my room, lying in bed and staring at my ceiling. Chandler and I have been texting nonstop this past week, she tries to cheer me up and it works most of the time. I started drifting off to sleep when my stomach growled.

"I'm hungry." I said to myself.

I sat up in bed, started getting out of bed and then flopped onto my other side. I was too comfy and I didn't want to get up. My stomach growled again and I encouraged myself to get up, for real this time.

I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. I fixed myself a sandwich and ate it at the island. I was putting my plate in the sink when my dad called me into the living room.

"Yeah?" I asked, walking into the living room.

"Look at this one!" My dad said, pointing to his laptop screen.

"Yeah, that's nice dad." I said, looking at the house.

"I'm interested in buying it. It's out in the country...we can ride four wheelers and go hunting any time we want to!" My dad said, "Do you like it?"

"Yeah." I said.

"Alright! But I'm gonna go hang out with the guys. I'll see you later sweetheart!" My dad said, shutting the laptop lid and getting up from the couch. He planted a kiss on my cheek before grabbing his coat and his car keys, making his way out of the house.

Once I heard the garage door close, I made my way into the kitchen. I went over to my usual pit stop when my parents aren't home. I opened the doors to the liquor cabinet and took a bottle vodka. I walked over to the fridge and scooted a bunch of food out of the way, grabbing three of my dad's beers for when he has his buddies over. I grabbed everything and walked upstairs. I went into my room and locked the door behind me.

I sat all the bottles on my bed and sat down. I opened a bottle of beer and started drinking, sip by sip until it was gone. Same with the other two beers then it was time for the vodka. I've had vodka before, it usually tasted like nail polish remover and it burned my throat. I didn't care about that at the moment, it was the only thing that could cure my pain.

I guess you could say I've become depressed since the divorce. I have no desire or motivation to do anything. I don't have the desire to go hang out with friends, to talk to people, or do anything in that matter. I have panic attacks if I do go out, I get social anxiety if I'm in a large group. I can't really do anything about it at the moment, no one can help me...not even myself.

I was lying in bed, slowly drinking the bottle of vodka and thinking to myself. My phone started buzzing at it was a text from Harry.

From: Harreh
