EXT. FITZSIMMONS FAMILY HOME – LATE AFTERNOON

Golden hour. The sun casts a warm, honeyed glow over the freshly painted walls of a modest new house. The garden is still bare, but the laughter blooming from within makes it feel like home.

INT. LIVING ROOM – CONTINUOUS

TOMMY, around 9 years old, is dressed in a bright red hoodie. He’s holding a disposable camera, clicking away at random angles—his parents laughing in the background.

TOMMY excited
“Mom! Dad! Dito kayo—smile!”

MRS. FITZSIMMONS pulls her husband close. They pose awkwardly, lovingly. Tommy sets the timer and runs into frame, arms wide.

FLASH!
The photo captures them mid-laugh. Imperfect. Perfect.

INT. KITCHEN – LATER

The family eats spaghetti from mismatched bowls. A small TV plays cartoons in the background. Tommy’s eyes sparkle as he talks about school, his voice full of hope.

TOMMY
“Sabi ni Miss, magaling daw ako sa drawing! Gusto ko maging inventor. Gagawa ako ng robot na best friend!”

MR. FITZSIMMONS chuckles, ruffling his hair.

MR. FITZSIMMONS
“Baka maunahan mo pa ako, anak.”

MRS. FITZSIMMONS
“Basta kahit anong gawin mo, andito kami. Lagi.”

Tommy nods, eyes wide with quiet joy.

INT. TOMMY’S BEDROOM – NIGHT

Tommy lies in bed, hugging a plain teddy bear. It’s not alive. Not yet. But he whispers to it anyway.

TOMMY softly
“Sana, kahit anong mangyari… hindi mo ako iiwan.”

The bear’s button eyes reflect the moonlight. Silent. Still.

FADE TO WHITE.
