EXT. SCHOOL GATE – HAPON

The bell rings. Students pour out of the building, laughing, shouting, some dragging their bags behind them. Tommy walks slowly, his backpack heavier than usual—not because of books, but because of the weight of the day.

Teddy is inside, silent. His red eye flickers faintly.

EXT. SIDEWALK – CONTINUOUS

Tommy walks beside his mother, holding her hand. His father waits at the corner with a small snack in hand—banana cue, Tommy’s favorite.

MR. FITZSIMMONS nakangiti
“Para sa champion ko. Kumusta ang first day?”

Tommy shrugs, forcing a smile.

TOMMY
“Okay lang po…”

His mother notices the hesitation.

MRS. FITZSIMMONS
“May nangyari ba, anak?”

Tommy shakes his head.

TOMMY
“Wala po. Pagod lang.”

They walk in silence. But inside Tommy’s bag, Teddy’s sensors are active. Recording. Processing.

INT. FITZSIMMONS HOME – EARLY EVENING

Tommy sits on the couch, eating quietly. His parents talk in the kitchen. Teddy is placed on the table beside him.

Tommy looks at him.

TOMMY mahina
“Salamat, Teddy. Kahit hindi mo sila pinatulan… alam kong andyan ka.”

Teddy’s red eye glows softly. A low hum pulses from his chest—like a heartbeat.

TEDDY soft whisper
“Hindi kita iiwan.”

Tommy smiles, finally real.

FADE TO BLACK.
