*Flash Sentry*

Every pony was lined up outside the Everfree forest. We were told to meet here, and I have no clue why. We were being tested on courage. I can see what it might have to do with the Everfree forest. But then again, I have no clue. Princess Twilight came out of the forest and nodded to Shining. "Okay. So as you know you will be tested on your courage. And to test you on that, you'll be facing a Timber Wolf." I gulped, and looked over at my colleges. Note seemed afraid, and Golden showed no expression.

"You will have to face the wolf and fight it off. Time counts." said Princess Twilight.

"Up first is Flash, then Note, and last will be Golden." I felt like the world was paying me back for being in first.

"Good luck." Princess Twilight told me as I entered the woods. This couldn't get any worse. A Timber Wolf. Just my luck. I sighed and continued to walk further into the forest.

After a few minutes I heard a twig snap. I jumped back and asked, "Who's there?"

A low growl came from behind me so I turned around. And there, standing in front of me was a Timber Wolf. "I'm not afraid of you. I train for situations like this." The wolf got closer, but I stayed put. If Princess Twilight was here, she would need me to protect her and get rid of the wolf. So that is what I'll do.

"Come and get me." I taunted the wolf and took off. I ran down the path, with the wolf on my tail. A few vines were hanging from above. So I grabbed onto one and swung around a tree. I landed on the wolf's back. It looked back at me, then rolled to the ground, trying to squish me. But I hopped off before his back hit the ground.

I started to run again and the wolf noticed, chasing after me. There was a tall tree up ahead so I flew up and landed on a branch that the wolf couldn't reach. He jumped up but couldn't get me. While he continued to jump I started to plan a way to get rid of him. Then it hit me. If the wolf keeps scratching at the tree, it will eventually wear down and fall on top of him.

"You do know," I looked down at the wolf. "If you can get the tree to fall, I'll fall with it." And with that the wolf bit a piece of the trunk and the tree started to fall. I flew up and watched as the tree toppled over on the wolf. I smiled and flew as fast as I could back to Shining and the Princess.

"Done already?" Shining asked with amazement.

"Yes sir." I stood tall and proud.

"Twilight, go check." the Princess left and Shining wrote a few things down. Princess Twilight returned and nodded. "Good job Flash. You can go take a seat. It's your turn Note." I went and sat down next to Golden.

*Third Pony*

When Note Worthy entered the woods, he was afraid and knew this was most likely the end for him. He gulped as he smelled the bad breath and ran for it. His screams filled the forest. The wolf chased him until a tree appeared in the middle of the path. There was a hole big enough to fit a pony so Note jumped through it. The wolf was smart and ran around it. Note was running out of steam. He ran off the path and started jumping over bushes and fallen down trees. Once he lost the wolf he sat down to catch his breath.

His panting slowed, but then sped up after he heard the wolf's cry. Note got back up and started run again. He heard the wolfs steps and screamed again. This time his scream was so loud that the wolf froze, then collapsed into 1000 pieces. Note cried in joy and headed to find his way out. He couldn't believe that his scream was that powerful.
