Flash was getting ready for the ceremony, which consisted of him showering and polishing his amour. He had just finished the helmet when Shining Amour walked in. Shining was wearing his amour too. He even waxed it. (A/N I didn't know ponies cared so much about their armor.) "You need to be out there in 10 minutes." Shining told Flash.

"Yes sir." Shining nodded, then left. Flash finished polishing, then combed his hair. He put on his armor then walked down the hall toward the ball room.

There were rows of chairs, filled with ponies. Up ahead was a platform, with a table. On that tabled was a sword that Shining Armor and Princess Twilight will use to officially make him Princess Twilight's personal guard. He noticed that the other 3 princesses were sitting in the front row watching.

The orange Pegasus gulped, then marched up the aisle. He reached the platform, stood in his guard stance and saluted Princess Twilight and Prince Shining Armor. Shining saluted him back and the princess bowed in return. "Are you ready Flash?" Twilight whispered.

"Yes your majesty." he responded.

Shining turned toward the crowd of ponies and said, "Today we are coordinating Flash Sentry as Princess Twilight Sparkle's personal guard." he picked up the sword and held it out in front of Flash. "Repeat after me. I, Flash Sentry of the royal guards."

"I, Flash Sentry of the Royal Guards." Flash repeated.

"Here by accept."

"Here by accept."

"The responsibility of protecting Princess Twilight Sparkle and guarding her with my life." Shining said and Flash repeated. Shining then took the sword and lowered it on Flash's left side, then his right.

"As Princess Twilight Sparkle, I expect that you will protect me with your life." Twilight took the sword and lowered it on Flash's left side and his right. Twilight smiled at him then set the sword back on the table. "You'll start tomorrow." Shining whispered to him.

The crowd of ponies clapped then went into the dining room for some food. Soon the ballroom was ready for the after party, so all the ponies headed back there. Flash was greeted by a whole bunch of ponies, mainly congratulating him. He met Twilight and Shining's parents. They were nice, but made sure that he would protect their daughter.

Flash was getting some punch when Princess Luna approached him. "Princess Luna." he bowed and the Princess nodded.

"You have big responsibilities now Flash Sentry."

"I know Princess Luna."

"You must be careful and not get distracted." she looked him up and down.

"I don't plan on it Princess Luna." she nodded then walked away. He finished his punch and walked over to talk to a few colleges. Princess Celestia then greeted him. "Congratulations Flash Sentry. I knew you could do it." the princess smiled then walked away.

Soon the party was over and Flash was helping some of the ponies clean up. To be honest he was really tired but he felt like doing something other than sitting around. Princess Twilight trotted in and looked around until her eyes landed on Flash. She then walked over to him. "Princess Twilight." Flash bowed and she giggled.

"Don't bow to me anymore. You'll be seeing me every second of the day."

"Yes Princess." He blushed.

"So getting to the point... I wanted to know if you want to go get a cupcake tomorrow morning. To, you know, kick off your job?" she grinned the cheesiest grin.

"Yeah, sure."

"Till then. Because you start when I wake up." Flash let out a laugh and she was gone.

Soon the ballroom was spotless and Flash decided he should shower and get to bed.

(The Next Day)

There was a knock at Flash's door. He rolled out of bed and answered it. It was Princess Twilight. "Just want to let you know, I'm always up at seven."

"Oh, okay." he smiled and rubbed his neck.

"Are you ready to get some cupcakes?"

"Uh, yeah. I just need to put on my amour."

"Okay." Twilight turned around and Flash shut his door. He quickly put on his body suit, chest plait, shoes, and helmet. Twilight and him walked to Sugar Cube Corner. Of course Pinkie Pie was working a shift when they went to order. Twilight got a pink sprinkled cupcake and Flash got carrot cake. He paid and was about to sit down when Pinkie grabbed his hoof. "I see you won the test." she had a huge grin plastered on her face.

"Yeah I did." he smiled at Pinkie.

"Have fun!" she let go of his hoof and took her next customers order.

Flash sat down with the Princess and started to eat his carrot cake. When they finished they headed back to the castle. Flash opened the door to find Shining standing there, glaring at him. "Flash a word please?" Flash gulped and followed Shining down a hall.

"Yes sir?" the orange Pegasus asked when they stopped.

"Don't get to close or personal with my sister. Or else I will have your head," Flash gulped and nodded. "Oh and when I leave tonight, you will start your job as first in command."

"Yes sir." Shining nodded and left. Flash went back to Twilight. She seemed a bit curious but didn't question him. All day Flash followed her to the library, then the throne room, and finally her room.

"I'm going to bed Flash. But remember, 7am is when I get up."

"Yes Princess. Goodnight." He said.

"Goodnight." he walked across to his room and went to bed.

A/N

So yeah, boom, chapter. I'm gonna watch equestria girls. Who else is pumped for THE FRIENDSHIP GAMES? I KNOW I AM!
