*Twilight Sparkle*

Flash and I were headed for Rainbow Manor. Dash was going to teach me fly better. From Rainbows scores on Flash's test, he was a pretty good flyer. Flash flew behind me in case my wings failed, more like I failed to flap.

Rainbow Dash was waiting outside her house. She flew to us, and put on her game face. "So you ready to fly Twilight?" Rainbow smirked.

"Yeah, I guess." I flapped my wings, barley staying in the same spot. Flash stayed close and watched as Dash walked me through the basics. Once she was done talking, we flew in a straight line, then flew straight up, and across the sky; forming a box.

We did some more exercises that were supposed to help make my wings stronger, then took a lunch break. Flash sat in silence while eating his daisy sandwich. He just listened to Rainbow tell him about her dreams to get into the Wonderbolts. He nodded and finally said, "Some of the Wonderbolts taught us how to fly. It was part of training for the Pegasi."

"Really?! You need to teach me about everything they taught you!" Dash sounded so excited.

"I would, but I have to spend my time watching Princess Twilight." Flash smiled kindly and looked towards me. I blushed and took a bite of my sandwich.

"Dang it." Rainbow sighed and picked at her sandwich. Soon we all finished and Dash continued today's flying lesson. "Okay so I'm gonna see how fast you can fly, then I will decide what work-outs you need to increase your speed."

I nodded and took off. I flew as fast as I could go. I zipped around Rainbows house a few times before flying up. I flew so high I swear I could touch Celestia's sun. Going back down to Dash was a little harder than I thought.

My wings were out of control and soon I was doing somersaults in mid-air. I couldn't regain control and soon I was plummeting toward Ponyville. I started to scream, for there was nothing else I could do. Rainbow stood there in shock, but Flash wasn't going to take a chance. He flew past me and up towards the sun. He then dove down and was gaining speed as he flew. Soon he caught up with me and dove past.

He should be saving me, not showing me up! And before I knew it, I landed into some ponies hooves. I opened my eyes and found Flashes. His blue eyes were so pretty. They were a deep blue and faded of into a light shade of blue. He smiled and set me down on Rainbow's porch. "You okay?" he asked.

"Um, yeah I think," I paused to process what just happened. "I thought you weren't going to save me. That you were showing me up."

He laughed and said, "My job is to protect you, not show off." he held out his hoof to help me up and I gladly took it. Rainbow zipped over and said, "That. Was. AWESOME!" she squealed and bombarded Flash with a whole bunch of questions. "I think the Princess needs to get home and rest." Flash told her.

I tried to flap my wings, but they were too weak after my fall. So Flash let me climb onto his back and we flew off towards the castle. We landed on my balcony and I slowly climbed off. I felt weak and tired. I guess almost falling to your death makes you tired. Flash opened the door and helped me into bed. "I don't know how long you plan on sleeping. And it's almost four. Sooo."

"I'll probably sleep till tomorrow. I feel very weak and tired."

"Okay. Well good night Princess." he was just about to walk away but I grabbed his hoof. "Thank you for saving my life."

He smiled and said, "It's my job." I let go of his hoof and he left.

*Flash Sentry*

As I closed Princess Twilight's door quietly, I thought about the previous events. I can't believe I saved her. It felt good, and I could the trust in her eyes for me when I caught her. Her eyes were a precious color of purple. I never saw them up close till now. I guess I was starting to have feelings towards the Princess.

But I can't. It's not allowed. And Shining even threatened me.

Shook my head and opened the door across the hall from the Princess. My room was neatly put together. I guess the maid pony stopped by today.

I stripped off my armor and took a nice hot shower to help clear my head. After that, I lay down on the squishy bed and drifted off to a sleep.

*Third Pony*

Twilight's dream;

Twilight ran to the room across the hall from her. "Flash! FLASH!" She yelled hoping that he would awake from his sleep. The orange Pegasus opened his door and rubbed his eyes.

"Princess-" he was caught off by Twilight hugging him. He hugged her back not hiding his feelings for her anymore.

"He's coming." Twilight stated.

"Who?"

"I-I... I don't know. But I do know what will defeat him." Soon the two ponies were running around to gather there friends and their special some ponies (and Discord).

"Wha-what, are w-we doing?" Rainbow Dash shivered and cuddled closer to Soarin'. (A/N For you Cheez and all the other Soarindash fans!)

"Waiting." Twilight stood in front of the group of ponies and looked for the villain they were about to face. They stood there in the freezing cold, soon the snow picked up and turned into a swirling storm of white. Princess Twilight could barely see but then, a pair of glowing red and green eyes met her face.

Twilight woke up in a sweat. She panicked and ran to Flashes door.

Sorry it took forever to write the chapter! I've been so busy with back to school, traveling and my job as a petsitter and babysitter.

So next update will be Monday! Because I have a short weekend vacation!
