*Third Pony*

(Monday Afternoon)

Twilight and Flash were in the library. She was trying to get him to read Daring Doo. Eventually he gave in and started to read the book. Twilight watched his expressions as he flipped through the pages. It was about an hour later when he finished the book. "Do you have the next one?" he asked Twilight excitedly.

"Mhm." She led him down a bit further and scanned the selves until she found the second book. Flash flipped open to the first page and started to read it. Twilight stopped him though. "Why don't you read this later?" Flash smiled then nodded. He and Twilight trotted back to his room so they could put the book away.

Flash came back out and led Twilight to the garden. They now spent most of their time there. It was a way to get away from everything and every pony. A place to be by yourself or with some pony special.

They took a seat on the bench and started to talk about the Daring Doo book. Twilight was glad she got Flash to read a book as an extracurricular activity. She felt somewhat accomplished. She listened as Flash talked on and on about the book. Soon she drifted off to dream land. She imagined her and Flash married, with two kids. Of course they would probably end up as Alicorns. She was trying to name them.

"Twilight? Twilight?!" Flash pulled her out of her thoughts.

"Oh, yeah?"

"You okay? Cause you zoned out."

"Oh yeah. I'm fine." She smiled at the fantasy she created in her head.

"If you say so," he scooted closer to her and whispered, "Remember, tonight at midnight. Right here."

"Got it." she whispered back. The two ponies cuddled with each other for a few minutes before returning to memorizing the castle.

(Midnight)

Twilight quietly closed her door and tip-hoof (tip-toed) down the hall. She rounded the corner then used her horn to light the way. Little did she know that Shining was following her. She had finally memorized her way to the garden so she walked alone. Twilight is supposed to meet Flash there. During this time of night is like their date time. It's the only time they can show their love for one another.

Twilight neared the doors and used her magic to open one. The purple mare walked straight to the bench, only to find Flash waiting for her. He smiled at her as she sat down. "Hey." he kissed her check and she blushed.

"Hi."

"Before I walked here, Yankee came and told me the Timber Wolves were trying to get past the border of the forest. They chased them away, but there's no telling when they'll be back."

"Okay." Twilight wasn't upset or scared at all. She knew Flash and his fellow guards could handle it. The two ponies scooted closer together and looked up at the stars. They pointed out constellations and which star they thought was the brightest.

Shining watched from a few bushes away. He can't believe that Flash lied to him. Then he saw them kiss, and almost threw up. He couldn't believe that Twilight would betray him. She even knew the rules. Shining got out of the bush and turned away. First thing after breakfast, Flash is packing his bags.

(Tuesday Morning)

The three ponies were sitting around the table, eating muffins. It was silent as the ponies picked at their food. Spike was the only one that was making noise. He kept cramming the muffins in his mouth. Soon the dragon was leaning back in his chair, belly full. Flash and Twilight kept glancing at each other. It was hard not being able to talk whenever Shining was around. "So," Shining said. "What are today's activities?"
