Twenty

*Third Pony*

"NO! Shining you can't do that!" Twilight yelled, her tears fell like a waterfall.

"I can. He failed his job and it's what must be done." Shining said with a stern tone.

"No! I won't let you." Twilight ran over to Flash and hugged him. Flash was upset. Shining was right. He failed to do his duty and let Shining down. He didn't hug Twilight back. He didn't want to, and he couldn't. He not only did he fail in Shining's eyes, but in Twilight's as well. Half of Ponyville is destroyed because of him.

"Twilight, get away from him. He needs to pack up his stuff." Shining bossed.

"No! He's staying here! I've opened up to him, and I've learned so many new things and learned to look at life a different way. I've felt something special for him. And I still do!" Twilight spat out.

"What are you trying to say?" Shining asked.

"That I love him! And he loves me too. Right Flash?" She was still hugging him so she had to look up. He just stood there quiet, not saying a word, just processing his thoughts. "Right Flash?" Twilight asked again.

He shook his head, "No, I don't." That was the best answer he could give. Twilight let go of him and ran out of the room balling. Shining seemed pleased but still angry.

"You see why I told you not to get close to her? It's because she's fragile. And easy to break." Shining walked out of the room and Flash thought about all the promises he made. And he just broke them all. He felt pain inside. He let every pony down, especially Twilight. He can't believe that she loves him though. After all the mistakes he's made, and all the promises he's broken. He couldn't understand why she still likes him. Or the fact that she loved him.

Flash was growing tired from all this thinking. So he curled up under the covers and fell asleep.

Flash's Dream:

Flash was on the train back to the Crystal Empire. He was all alone in the car. It was night time and he couldn't sleep. He was still processing his thoughts. How could he have been such a fool? Then out of now where some pony tapped his shoulder. He turned around to find Princess Luna. "Princess Luna! What are you doing here?"

"To stop your worrying and help you."

"Princess, I failed. I've let every pony down. I don't deserve your help." Flash turned to look outside the window again.

"You need my help. And I'll tell you why Flash Sentry. You may have think you let every pony down, but you're wrong. The only pony you let down was yourself."

"But what about Shining and Twilight?" Flash asked.

"You'll find out soon enough." Luna half smiled.

"What do you mean?"

"In your future. It is why I am here again, to warn you. If you don't accept your mistake, you'll never forgive yourself. And if you never forgive yourself, a pony will live in pain." Luna was now sitting next to Flash. "Twilight is going to become very sad. She is the one that is going to live in pain. If you don't forgive yourself, you'll be living in pain too," She stood up and was getting ready to leave his dream. "I hoped you learned your lesson this time Flash. Prevent this future from happening." and with that, Princess Luna was gone.

Flash woke up in a sweat. It was 6am and he has to be at the train station by 7am. He shot up and out of bed. The orange Pegasus quickly showered and started to pack his bags. Stuff was strewn all over the room and he rushed to clean it all up. It was 6:45am and he still had to eat breakfast. So he rushed to the kitchen and grabbed two apple-banana muffins. He quickly ate them then rushed back to his room to grab his bags.

He looked around his room for the last time, sighed, and then closed the door. His heart ached as it closed. He was just about to walk down the hall when he heard sobs coming from Princess Twilight's room. The Pegasus lightly tapped on the door, but as soon as he did he turned around and walked away. He wanted to stay, but he let Twilight down. He broke his promises and knew that talking to Twilight would be hard.

The door opened and the princess stepped out into the hallway. "Flash?" she sniffed. Flash lowered his head and ignored her. "Flash?" she started to cry again. He felt bad, but he couldn't make any more mistakes. As soon as he reached the castle doors he took off for the train station.

Shining Armor was already there waiting for him. "There you are." Shining got on the train and Flash followed him. Flash took a seat by the door and watched as Ponyville sped by. Soon he found himself thinking about Twilight. Then about what Princess Luna told him in his dream. He shook the thought from his head and focused on what he was going to do when he got back to the Crystal Empire.

*Twilight Sparkle*

I watched as he walked further down the hall, my tears disobeying me. Soon a few tears turned into sobs. Once I couldn't see him I curled up into a ball. I don't care that I'm in the middle of the hall way. I cried for a few minutes until my new personal guard, Golden Touch, came to my side.

"Princess, are you okay?" he asked helping me up.

"Stop! I don't need your help!" I snapped at him and stepped away.

"But Princess-" I cut him off.

"Just stay away from me!" I ran back into my room and sat on my bed. Tears came down my face like a rapid waterfall. I couldn't believe he didn't love me. The tears came stronger. It was like he was lying to me this whole time. Maybe he was. But I saw that sparkle in his eyes. I hate being confused. So I took out journal and sorted out all my thoughts.

I came to a conclusion. If he really does love me, he'll come back and admit it. He will apologize for everything. And if he doesn't love me, I'll never see him again.

I only hope he knows that I've already forgiven him.

A/N

So guys ITS THURSDAY! My favorite day because, 1) Its update day! and 2)It means Friday is tomorrow!

Good: WE HAVE REACHED 1K! THANK YOU ALL! I LITERALLY SCREAMED WHEN I SAW THAT!

Bad: This book is coming to an end. There should be like close to 10 more chapters. But when this book ends I will be writing the second book of this series which is a soarindash book! There will be 7 books, each a different ship. Yes seventh is a surprise. SO STAY TUNED!
