Jill's POV
Today was the lake day and I was more than excited for this. It's 8 in the morning and I'm actually not tired. I'm hyper. Chad wont be attending because he has work, but their is always me, Nash, Hayes, Sky, Mrs. Grier, and my dad.
"So you are riding with the Grier's?" My dad asks me.
"Yeah, is that okay?" I ask.
"Yeah, it's okay. I'll just follow Mrs. Grier behind you guys." He says, reassuring me.
"Well okay, dad. Thank you. I promise, you'll love them." I say, excitedly.
"Okay, okay. I believe you." He says, chuckling.
"Well, I'm gonna go nowwwww. Bye, dad. Love you." I say, opening the door.
"Bye!" He yells back.
I shut the door and head over to the Grier's. I have my duffel bag around my shoulder and I was set and ready for what this week brings us.
I knock and Nash answers it.
"Hey," I say, smiling.
He looked exhausted.
"Hi," He says back.
"H-How have you been doing?" I ask him.
"She loved me, Jill." He says.
"I know that. She's always loved you. Ever since we moved here." I say.
"S-She loved me. Rachel loved me." He says, looking down.
I could tell he was about to cry, so I wrap him in a hug.
"I-If you loved someone, then why leave them?" Nash asks me.
"Sometimes if you love someone, you have to let them go." I say, whispering.
"I lost her." He says.
"You didn't lose her, Nash. You know that." I say.
"I'm sorry," He says, walking away and running up to his room.
I set my duffel bag down and go into the kitchen.
"Hi, Mrs. Grier." I say, smiling.
"Jill, please. Call me Elizabeth." She says, laughing.
"Sorry, Elizabeth. I forgot." I say, chuckling.
"It's okay, honey. You excited for this lake trip?" She asks me.
I was about to open my mouth to speak, but in cut off by Skylynn running at me.
"JILL!" She yells.
I pick her up.
"Hey, baby girl!" I say, smiling.
She smiles back and I kiss her forehead.
"But to answer you question Elizabeth, I am more than excited." I say, smiling.
I set Sky down and she runs over to Elizabeth.
"Mommy, why is Nash crying?" Sky asks her.
"Love hit him hard. It's something you'll go through one day." I say to Sky.
"But, I don't wanna cry." Sky says.
Elizabeth stares at me and nods.
"That's the only way," I say, whispering.
I look down at my toes. That's the only way..
"Sky, go in your room and play. We'll leave in awhile." Elizabeth says.
