RING RING RING RING RING!!!

Karkat Vantas cursed and rolled over in his bed picking up his phone which had been ringing for what seemed like twenty minutes. He didn't look at it, his face in his pillow, he only slid the call acceptance open putting the cold metal to his ear.

"What the fuck do you want it's like three in the fucking morning."

"Karkat?"

Once he heard that voice, everything stopped for him then rocketed back into motion. He shot up in his bed his eyes wide.

"(Y/n)?"

On the other end he heard a quiet 'mhmm' making him curious as to why his flushcrush was calling him at.......he leaned over to check the time on his clock.....three in the morning.

"What's up why the hell did you call me so fucking early."

He heard what sounded like moving. Perhaps she was changing positions in how she was sitting or laying?

"Well....I uhm...."

He waited patiently for her to 'spit it out'. Karkat was usually never patient for anyone.

(y/n) on the other hand he could wait all day for.

It was no new thing that he was red for the girl, he had had a flushcrush on her for a while. Before he even met her he had a flush crush on her but Sollux and Gamzee had persuaded him to talk to her. Once he did they instantly 'clicked' and here he was a few years later, morials with the girl that he had a flush crush on.

"Well, uhm....sorry to bother you and wake you up and stuff but uhm.....m-my heart is hurting and my grandmother will not pick up the phone. I'm really scared to sleep because of it."

Karkat instantly got out of bed and began to pull on pants and a shirt.

"Well, fuck. I'll come and get you and bring you back to my hive alright?"

Once again he heard a quiet 'mhmm' on the other end of the phone.

"So. Get your meds and some clothes, you're staying the night at my hive."

Again he heard a quiet 'mhmm' on the other end of the phone.

"Alright I'll be over in a fucking minute."

He ended the call, slipping his phone in his back pocket along with his wallet which was already in his pants. He opened the door to his room and closed it quietly sneaking downstairs. He slipped on his shoes placing his hand on the door knob.

"Ahem."

Letting out a silent string of curses, the young Vantas turned his head around.

And was met with the sight.

Of his older brother.

Shit.

"Karkat Vantas. Do you have any idea how triggering you're being? Sneaking out at 3 am is something I would not expect of you and-"

The young Vantas sighed deeply.

"Kankri I'm going to fucking pick up (y/n) and maybe take her to the hospital."

Immediately, the older Vantas's eyes widened slightly.

"Is she alright?"

Karkat opened the door.

"I guess we'll find out fucking later, until then, get off of my ass and let this slide so I can make sure she's oh-fucking-kay."

The older Vantas sighed and massaged his temples.
