I opened my eyes from the blackness, the light blinding me for a moment making me huff slightly and shield my eyes. What happened? Why was I still alive? I should be dead. Why? Why am I alive? By all possible instances, I should be dead, unless........

"Oh, you're awake!"

I took the opportunity to sit up, my head pounding slightly. I raised my gloved hand and held it gently to the side of my hooded head.

Wait. If I'm here.

Did they.......

Shit.

I moved and swung my legs over the side, planting both of my feet onto the cave floor, my boots making a small tapping sound.

"You shouldn't get up yet, you're still injured, and moving might reopen your wound."

What can I say? I'm stubborn.

I placed both of my hands on either side of me and pushed myself up into a standing position. My sight blurred and swayed a bit but after a few blinks, I was alright.

"Hey, no thit down."

A hand was placed onto my shoulder, making me sit back down on the thing I was laying on.

I have yet to investigate that.

My first objective was to get the hell out of here.

And that's exactly what I'm going to do.

"You took quite the beating dear, I'm surprised you were even able to escape."

I didn't care who that was, or what my condition was.

I was getting out.

Once again and placed my hands on either side of me and pushed myself to my feet. I lost my balance for a moment but quickly regained it, using my nose to smell for fresh air. Once my senses latched onto it, I began to follow it.

"Hey! Hold on for a thecond why don't cha? We're tryin to help ya!"

Just before I got outside I heard the voice again.

"If you go out there you'll burn to a crithp"

Okay that made me stop.

I placed my gloved hand on the cave wall and leaned on it, my own legs threatening to give out on me.

"Eathy there."

I felt two strong hands steady me, keeping me from falling.

"You are the one that helped up escape yes?"

That sentence is the one that made me look up and look at who exactly I was with.

What I saw was honestly not something I was expecting.

In front of me, where The Psiioniic, The Dolorosa and The Disciple. The Signless was sitting up on the other side of the cave a smile on his face. He was devoid of blood, and he was patched up.

The dolorosa spoke a soft smile on her face.

"Ahh, you are. We must thank you for that deed, you didn't have too."

I chuckled my voice quiet unlike their strong ones. It was rare for me to speak, it was not something I usually did.

"On the contrary. You all would have died otherwise."

The Psiioniic then took the opportunity to speak as he sat down on a rather large rock.

"Well, yeah, but we would have died for a good cauthe."

I stifled a chuckle and leaned on the cave wall.

"Yes, but did you think of what would have happened had you died? Your dream would simply disappear into the history of Alternia. More so with highbloods in rule, your names would be slandered and you would be seen as imbeciles instead of heroes, your dream would simply die into the ashes." The disciple who was sitting next to the Signless tilted her head to the side slightly, looking at me curiously.

"I never thought of it that way."

I nodded and glanced at the light from under my hood.

"Perhaps you should all rest, you need it."

The dolorosa nodded and yawned slightly.

"Yes, I do believe we should we haven't slept well in a while."

I turned around and looked at the sunlight outside.

Behind me they all began to lay down and become comfortable, drifting to sleep.

I on the other hand,

Sleep would not come to me as easily.

It never would.
