"Hello and welcome to La domestica. What would like you to order?" I said in my professional sweet robotic voice which was exclusive for the customers. Taking orders was the hardest job for me considering that I am not exactly a social butterfly capable of charm and charisma. Like Flynn. He was the king when it came to these social skills. Sometimes I find it to hard to believe that this same guy used to be 'the cold hearted CEO'.

"A cheese ravioli for me and a tortellini alla panna with extra mozzarella cheese for my sweetheart." An old man with a silvery grey hair said as he dreamily gazed at his wife whose platinum white hair was styled in a pixie cut. Their wrinkled pale skin and grey hair did nothing to lessen their love for each other. These days, love had become a rarity. Sure, I could find a great deal of couples on a daily basis either making out or fighting. That was about it. Relationships consisted only of breaking up and patching up. It was like spinning in a circle. People thought about love as a spark. When the spark dies, they would assume that it was the end.
Wrong. Love wasn't about falling in and out of it. Love was a strong yet a delicate feeling which would weather every rainstorm on its journey. And those sparks are just a side effect of love. Being in love was a beautiful feeling but if not reciprocated, it could kill you.

These days, you find couples in a one way relationship. There would be one who was smitten and the other who wanted to mess around. There you got a Heartbreaker and a Heartbroken. That was the dynamic of today's relationships.

My thoughts had reached a far destination without my knowledge and I shrugged to clear my mind.

"I would be right back with your meal." I managed a quick polite smile at the couple and sauntered off into the staff room where I found Flynn taking a delivery on the phone. I walked past him and placed their orders in the desk.

As I turned to return to my task, my shoulders bumped into somebody's chest leading the drinks and the hot lasagna carried by them to land on my work shirt.

"Shit!!"

My shirt was completely soaked and I started to smell of meat. My hair was dripping wet and drops of orange juice were leaking on to my neck from the ends of my hair.

I scrunched my nose in disgust as I threw my dirtiest glare at the world's greatest klutz.

It was Gavin Burns. In other words, he was the only hot guy working in the diner. Besides Flynn, of course.

"You are such a freak!! You need glasses, klutz. You watch where you are walking next time." I gritted my teeth at his words.

How dare he accuse me. Me. As in the girl who had her gotten her hair and shirt soaked. Damn.

"No, you do that. Because you are the one who needs glasses so you can see where you are going and don't end up throwing hot lasagna and a stupid orange juice at people. Get your eyes checked, Mr. I can't carry things because I am blind but I blame people." I huffed out a breathe.

Four pairs of eyes looked at me in surprise at my outburst.

Then I heard a snort. It was definitely Flynn.

Gavin squinted his eyes at me as his jaw clenched. And then he left rather defeatedly.

"Wow. Look at you. Where is that shy little kitten and what have you done to her? I am flabbergasted." Flynn made a mock gesture of a gasp as he widened his eyes into saucers for the dramatic effect.
