A ray of sunlight hit my sleepy tired eyes and I groaned in frustration. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I was jolted wide awake.

"So you are awake." An eerily familiar male voice asked me. I turned to the owner of the voice. It was him. The man who was trying to kill himself at the Golden Gate Bridge last night. Oh God. I'm Still Alive.

Then, yesterday's events flooded back into my brain in flashbacks. I was supposed to be dead, but here I am in the passenger seat of a stranger's car going to God-knows-where. I rubbed my eyes and turned to him, "How long was I passed out?"

"A few hours. Its just 7 am now." I flinched at his cold tone.

I wish I was dead. Why wasn't I dead now?. Oh, because the stranger next to me in a black suit decided to save me.

"Why? Why did you do that?" I found myself asking him about last night.

"Do what?"

"You saved me. Why?. I wanted to die. Didn't you see that?"

He shook his head and gave me a mocking glance. "You should be grateful to me for saving your sorry ass. You wouldn't have been dead anyways because there was a guard who was ready to pull us into the police station with bloody handcuffs on our wrists. Don't you know attempted suicide will put us behind the bars and according to California law, we'd be forcefully sent to a rehab for treatment. Did you want that? I don't think so." He was killing me with his eyes as he gritted his teeth. He ran his hands through his hair."I don't know why I saved you. I shouldn't have but I know you would've perhaps helped the cops in catching me. And So I saved you, end of the story."

My mouth was left hanging after he finished his oh so mighty speech. He probably did a favor. If it wasn't for him, I'd've been in the hospital probably with the police inspections of my attempted suicide. Then, my family and Boyfriend would've been informed which would've led to the end of my story.

"Thanks." I said very slowly that I doubt he heard it. Apparently he did. A slight smirk adorned his lips as he looked at me.

"So where are we going?" I asked, wanting to clear the awkward silence.

"LA."

I wondered why he decided to leave San Franciso. As if noticing my confused face, he said "We'd be caught if we stayed in San Francisco. I heard the guard calling the cops describing how we look. So I just decided to drive to LA."

"Oh." I looked out of the window at the mountains on one side and the sea on the other side. I smiled slightly. Its been long since I went to LA.

"What's your name?" He asked after some moments of silence.

"Deborah Ridlers. But you can call me Debbie."I smiled warmly at him. "What's yours?"

"Flynn Raymond."

"So what do you do?"

He seemed a bit reluctant to answer but answered anyway. "I...I a- was the CEO of Worth."

Wow. He must've been earning quite a lot since he was a CEO of Worth, a highly successful Electronic company which was recently shut down as it became bankrupt. I took notice of his use of past tense.

I frowned. " What happened?"

He let out a dry laugh. "I became bankrupt because all my share holders who were basically my high school pals just bailed out on me when I wanted financial help. I was broke. My business collapsed and my sister......well I am just done."
