Lennox gazed hard at Flynn who also did the same. They were talking telepathically in a language only men understood. If it was any other situation, I would be flattered if two hot guys fighting over me.

But it was far from it. Life wasn't a movie. We don't get happy endings and none of the events in life is preplanned.

After a long pause of silence, Lennox smirked and looked between me and Flynn. "So this is your lover, aye?"

Flynn's teeth gritted with his clenched jaw and fists. He was killing Len with a glare.

The nurse had left the room leaving me with two strong men who could result in a murder. It was like a fight between an angel and devil. Here, I was the pathetic human.

"You are the guy who calls himself a man by hitting women. Tsk, didn't your mom teach you morals, you d*****bag!!" Flynn snarled. At that moment, he looked so dangerous as if he could cause some great damage.

"Don't talk about my mother, a*****le." He glared hard and then in a flash of seconds, everything went south. The hospital room was full of chaos and the scene of their fight was a blur.

They were exchanging fists on each other's faces. There were blows thrown here and there which led to things being broken. I had never seen such a violent fight in my entire life.

I wasn't even dramatizing the event. I was lost in a daze to wrap something around my head. The hospital staff came in and took me away from the scene. The police were informed and all I could remember was the police sirens blaring as I caught sight of Lennox.

He was bloodied. He was knocked out and he was up for a serious injury. He had to be taken to the ER. What was astonishing was the fact that he looked destroyed. He was writhing in pain just as I was a few hours ago. For a moment, he opened his eyes and rested it on mine. I gave him a smile which said it all. The suffering that I have faced for two consecutive years. The hell he had put me through. He looked almost dead.

Surprisingly as much as he had hurt me, I never wanted him dead. There was no bone within me that wished for his demise. I prayed that he would finally understand the error of his ways and would not inflict this pain on any other girl. I wasn't seeking vengeance. Not now but never.

Flynn also had sustained injuries which were not as severe as Len's. He was taken by the cops and we both looked at each other.

He got into trouble all because of me. That's all I kept thinking.

There was media involved too. The camera flashes were on my face and I covered it with my hands. The hospital staff tried to take me away from the spotlight. There was a lot happening.

I sat on one of the seats facing Inspector Winston who was straightening his mustache every now and then. Next to him sat Dr. Camilla Lopez, the Latina therapist who was scrutinizing my every move through her dark rimmed spectacles.

Flynn was on my right and Lennox on the left. We were in the station being inspected by a couple of cops.

A week had passed since the incident. I had become close to a household name. The story of my abuse was not yet released into the media as I had been silent this whole time. I wasn't willing to shed light on my life as it made me uncomfortable knowing that people will condescendingly look down upon me and offer me the pity. Truth is, I did not want sympathy but empathy from people.
