I could not believe it.

My parents (unbiological) had been looking for me. They had wanted me home after the lies they had fed me with all these years. They wanted me to forgive and forget it all. I knew they loved me and had taken care of me. I knew that they had taken me for a daughter as I had never felt short of love. But, yet if they had ever told me truth, I wouldn't have probably been this hurt. It felt like my mere existence was a big fat lie.

After knowing about the fact that I was a missing case, I had run as fast as my legs allowed me to and straight into Flynn. Jenna and Parker were sat next to him but we had no time to say goodbyes.

"There's been an emergency. Genie's really sick and we need to leave now. I just got a call." I lied as I tugged at Flynn's hands. He gave me a questioning look in response.

"O my god." Jenna's eyes widened. "We'll come with you."

"It is really okay. We'll let you know about Genie." I said as panic rushed in my bones. I felt bad having to say lies to such nice and genuine people. But we had no other resort than lying.

"In that case, take my car. Get her to the hospital as soon as possible." Parker handed his car keys to Flynn and nodded.

I should have probably left Flynn and Genie as they weren't the 'missing' ones but I knew that even if I escaped leaving them alone wanting them out of the whole "missing" fiasco, they'd somehow be tangled into it. I felt guilty that they had to leave here because of me. But then again, I didn't want to leave them. Ever.

"We need to take Genie out of there as soon as we can." I sighed and breathed heavily. Flynn did not ask me any questions. And I was thankful for that.

He led me to the 'kids zone' which looked more like a mini barbie castle and we scrambled through the cinderella dressed girls and knightly boys desperate to find Genie.

I made my way through a pink dress up room and I found Genie tying Macy's hair and as they both giggled at some joke.

"Genie!!" I called out as I picked her up. I told Macy that we were leaving to the hospital and Genie soon told her goodbyes to Macy quite reluctantly.

Flynn met us near the main door and we rushed into the car.

Flynn raised his eyebrows questioning my antics. Genie sat behind in silence and I could make out a small pout in her features. Maybe she was sad over leaving Macy. Guilt flooded my mind as I heaved a sigh.

"Take us to Jenna's place where your car is parked. I'll explain you everything." I said as I leaned against the window.

Through the entire car trip, all I thought of was Escape.

We had to get out of LA.

In about half an hour, we were at Jenna's. I got out of the car and went to open the back door. Genie was asleep and I lifted her sleeping form and went to Flynn's car which was already opened.

I placed Genie in the seat and ran my fingers through my hair.

"Come on." Flynn gestured me to get in. I nodded as I did exactly the same.

He drove out of the Beverly Hills and reached West Hollywood. A spell of silence engulfed us. We seemed to be drowning in our own thoughts in our own world.

"Where do you want to go?" It was the first time Flynn said something after we ran out of the party leaving him in bewilderment.

"Away." A monosyllabic answer was all I could give away.
