My life was soon gonna be over.Lennox's fury had reached a new edge. That murderous look was back in his face. My heart thumped rapidly in fear.
After he had asked me about Flynn, he had rendered me speechless. I did not know how to describe my relationship with Flynn. If I did know anything about it, it was that he was the only person in my life that made me happy. Along with Genie, of course.
My feelings for Flynn were ambiguous as I could not yet comprehend whether it was romantic or something that stemmed out of a deep friendship. I did not know.
The car ride back home was covered with deadly silence. The kind of silence that would be spread around before a disaster took place. Yes, the calm before storm.
Lennox was a raging fire. His eyes had turned charcoal black and I could not find any piece of emotion lying underneath. The monster was soon gonna be unleashed. At me.
The brakes kicked in as the car came to a screeching halt. Len made his way out of the car in haste and then came to my side unlocking my door pulling my arms roughly.
He was dragging me down the hall with a death glare thrown at anyone who were gaping at the sight of us.
I knew what was coming for me. My skin tingled with terrorizing anticipation.
At last, we were before the doors of his apartment. I took a deep breathe and wondered if I would make out alive.
Lennox was breathing hard almost panting as he threw the door open and pushed me inside. Due to the impact, I fell face first to the floor. My hair blinded my vision as I tried to make myself stand. I failed obviously.
Lennox took me by the shoulders allowing my legs to stand upright and without a word, his hands made contact with my left cheek.
I let out a painful hiss.
"You filthy w***e!! You have no respect, do you? You were screwing him, weren't you? Behind my f***ing back?!!" He kept on hitting my face with his palm and I, as always did not utter a word. My mind had officially disconnected from my body. I was walking dead.
"Did he give you everything I didn't give? Tell me, was I not enough for you, s**t?!! Tell me?!!" He barked standing close to my face and then proceeded to make a blow with his foot on my stomach. As a consequence, I was on the floor again.
Tears involuntarily streamed from my eyes but I wasn't even crying. His blows began a new journey towards my abdomen and a little down my chest. I felt dirty and used like a scumbag. Like I wasn't a human. Because no human would ever do this to their fellow human being. This was what predator did to their prey. And monsters did to their slaves.
"Get the f*** up, you b****!!" He pulled me away from the floor in that rough succession. After I was up, he took a clump of my hair pulling at it hard and banged my head against the wall with all his might.
