Yes, this is a sickfic book, but guess who really needs some fluff in their life, me, it's me.

Jake was aware of the different feelings he had for Heeseung. He knew it wasn't the same as how he felt about the other members. How flustered he'd get whenever Heeseung would touch him, finding excuses to hang out, and the heavier worry he felt for Heeseung when he wasn't okay. He knew he wanted more than a friendship, but he knew he couldn't. Ever since his debut, Jake knew better than to let his emotions get the best of him. He knew their friendship looked and acted like more, but he couldn't let his imagination run with it.

Jake found himself staring into space while the group's new series played in the background. The loud discussion from each member sounded like a distant rattle of noise as Jake stared holes into the shelf across the room. "Earth to Ikeu? Hello?" Jake turned his head to the nudge in his side, seeing none other than Heeseung. "Hey, are you okay? You've been zoned out this entire episode," Heeseung giggled as he looked at Jake, hoping for a response. Jake blinked his eyes a few times, staring at Heeseung while his brain wrapped around what he said. "Oh, yeah, sorry, been really tired recently," Jake reassured, laughing off his absent-mindedness. Jake looked back at his shelf, feeling a sense of guilt. "How can I have been so entranced by one person this long and still haven't said anything? Is that wrong? Liking my best friend for years and just never telling him?" Jake pursed his lips, wondering about the morality of his feelings.

It wasn't long before everyone was heading to bed, the little time they had for the evening being finished. Jake felt another nudge to his shoulder, seeing Heeseung attempting to awaken him from his daze once more. "Are you sure you're good, dude? You've barely even said anything all evening." Jake looked up at the red-haired male standing above him, staring down at the still sitting Jake. The Australian nodded as he stood up, stretching his stiff limbs, "Yeah, just wasn't really feeling it tonight," Jake tried to brush off his weird behavior, hoping Heeseung would slow his questioning. "Fine, but get a good night's sleep. I don't need a zombie puppy on our hands tomorrow," Heeseung giggled as he ruffled Jake's hair. Jake felt his face heat up and removed his hyungs hand from his hair. "Yah, I know hyung."

Jake tried to sleep, but was stuck tossing and turning for most of the night. Eventually, he gave up, leaving for the kitchen. He kept his blanket around his shoulders as he walked into the room, revealing Heeseung in the kitchen. The elder's head turned over, a smile creeping its way to his face. "I thought I told you to sleep well, Jayunie," Heeseung said as Jake stood beside him. "Mmm, didn't work." Heeseung giggled as Jake lay his head down on the counter, his left hand rubbing his tired eyes. Heeseung put an arm around the younger's shoulders, bringing him closer. Jake felt himself lean toward the touch, letting himself become engrossed in it. Neither Heeseung nor Jake said anything, enjoying the silence. "Want some ramyeon, Ikeu?"

The pair was now quietly talking on the floor of the living room, enjoying the late-night snack. Heeseung leaned his head on Jake, resting his back against the sofa. Jake leaned his head on top of Heeseung's as he spread his legs out on the floor. Jake knew his face was red and his heart rate elevated; he almost hated it. He didn't like the idea of wanting to do more, to be closer, to have more. He felt wrong, wanting romantic things from someone he would never imagine having the same feelings. His gaze moved to their empty bowls on the table, unsure of how to handle his thoughts and feelings. His attention was quickly diverted as he felt a grip on his hand, looking down to see Heeseung's hand in his. Looking at Heeseung, nothing was said, just a calm smile plastered on the elder's face. Jake relished the comfortable feeling; he loved physical touch, but he loved it the most with Heeseung.

The next morning, Jake awoke to the sound of giggling and snickers above him. Slowly peeling his eyes open, he saw the three youngest members giggling. He felt a weight shift beside him, turning his head to see Heeseung getting up, stretching. Jake felt a rush of blood to his face as he remembered the night before. He covered his face with his hands as he rubbed his eyes, embarrassment hitting him like a wave. "Aish, you guys are insufferable," Heeseung giggled. Jake felt a tap on his shoulder, looking up to see Heeseung's extended hand to help him up. Jake took it and began jokingly scolding the three in front of them. "It's not nice to take photos of people you know, stalkers." After a long back and forth of acknowledging the blackmail owned by the five in the room, it ended in laughter and dispersing to begin the day.

Jake took himself and his blanket back to his room, closing the door and staring at some of the decorations on the wall. He placed his hand over his chest, feeling his heartbeat. He couldn't tell if it was the embarrassment or the fact that he had fallen asleep beside Heeseung that was getting to him. He flung his blanket to his bed, in no need of fixing it. With a heavy sigh, he began his routine for the day.

The day went by as usual, rehearsing, some recording, a lot to do, and not a lot of time. Before Enhypen knew it, they were already back in their dorms for the short time before bed. Jake settled into the end of the couch, tired, but awake enough to pay attention to today's episode. Sunghoon sat beside him, his attention fixed on the TV. The rest of Enhypen was scattered around the living room, attention fixed on the screen. "Hoon, I can't lie, I didn't pay attention yesterday. What happened?" Jake whispered, hoping for an answer. "She kissed that one guy we only heard about once, not the love interest, but the other guy. This episode is where she gets confronted about it," Sunghoon explained, his gaze never leaving the TV. Jake's attention became fixated on the screen, his curiosity eating at him. Throughout the episode, he felt glances at him.

Jake eventually decided to turn his head toward the source, seeing Heeseung quickly snap his head from Jake back to the screen. Jake tilted his head in confusion and fixed his gaze back to the screen. He tried to shrug it off, but he couldn't help the feeling of it still going on, the occasional glance back included.

After the episode, everyone began standing up, talking about the episode. He and Sunghoon spoke of the drama, "I cannot believe that happened, like damn, tell her how you feel, I guess," Sunghoon remarked as he stood up. Jake followed, "I know! Yes, what she did was wrong, but I don't know why it triggered a random traumatic lore bomb!" The two giggled and laughed until they went their separate ways to bed. Jake couldn't help but feel a sense of tension between him and Heeseung; all of the glances were starting to get to him.

Once again, sleep was not granted to Jake easily, leaving him retreating to the kitchen once more. Surprisingly, like the night before, Heeseung was standing at the counter, almost like he was waiting. "Hey, hyung." Heeseung turned his head to meet Jake's gaze, no emotion on his face. "Hello." Jake walked over and stood beside him, leaning against the counter. The silence was eating Jake alive: he couldn't stand it. "Why were you looking at me through the episode today? I saw you." Heeseung felt his muscles tense, a bit of embarrassment crawl through his veins. "It's nothing, am I not allowed to look at you?" Heeseung tried to brush it off. "Hyung, I'm not that dumb. You looked almost mad," Heeseung sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Well, normally you sit beside me when we watch it, and today we weren't together, and you and Sunghoon talked a lot, and it made me sad."

Jake held in a giggle as he watched Heeseung's face turn a light shade of pink. "Oh~, so you were jealous," Jake relished in his newfound confidence as he watched Heeseung whip his head to the younger, "No, I wasn't!" "Sure, you weren't. What other emotion would you call it?" Heeseung stared at Jake, with no words to respond. He sighed, turning to Jake and pulling him into a hug. Jake didn't resist, burying his head into Heeseung's shoulder, enjoying the scent of him. Jake couldn't help but giggle, "I still think you were just jealous and don't want to admit it," he teased. "I think you're overthinking it," Heeseung said, trying to deny the reality.

Heeseung huffed, moving his hand to stroke Jake's hair. "Jake, I need to admit something." Jake nodded in response, moving his head to look up to the elder. "I-I," Jake tilted his head, curiosity itching at him. "I know that for the longest time we've always been super touchy, and I can be rather clingy. Now we've learned I can be possessive... Yes, Jake, I was jealous. I've liked you for a really long time, much more than a friend. It's like recently it's been building up, I feel like I've fallen in love with you, Jaeyunie." Heeseung averted his gaze to another corner of the room, scared of the response.

Jake smiled, letting out a sigh of relief. "Hyung," he reached his hand up to Heeseung's face, moving it to look at him, "I've felt the same way for so long, I've always been too scared to say anything." Heeseung's face lit up, all the fear disappearing from his face. Heeseung tightened the hug, squished Jake close to him. Jake hugged back, just as tight. After a moment, Jake pulled back and looked at Heeseung, "So, what does this make us?" "Well, if you'd take me, I'd love to be able to say I'm the boyfriend to Sim Jaeyun." Jake felt his smile grow wider, reaching up, he pulled Heeseung's face down to his, kissing his forehead. "I'd love that."

I FINISHED IT YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYY!!! I was so scared I wouldn't be able to finish this today, but I did. Hope you enjoyed the fluff!! Have a great day/night!
