I drifted in and out of sleep. When I was awake, I was fully aware of Aiden's presence beside me. At one stage, he'd slipped his arm around my head and it warmed my scalp.
The next time I woke up, I heard the air-conditioner flick on and a cool blast of air tickled my feet. I shivered, wishing there was some kind of blanket I could use. I bit my tongue and steeled myself against the cold. I wasn't going to wake him up over a stupid blanket. I laid there for what felt like eons, shivering. I glanced at Aiden, hoping he was awake. It was selfish, but I was really cold. I rolled onto my side to face him. He was lying on his stomach, his head turned away from me. His shirt had slid up a little on his back and a slither of tanned olive skin was revealed.
"Aiden?" I whispered. I was so scared he wasn't going to reply when he groaned. His head turned towards me and I was met with a lazy smile.
                              "Sang?"
I contemplated asking for the blanket. I'd already woken him up this far, may as well continue.
"I'm sorry to wake you," I said quickly, "but..could I please have a blanket?"
His eyebrows shot up in confusion.
"I'm cold," I whispered. His eyes softened considerably. He didn't get up, but instead turned his body to fully face me. He reached out and drew me until I was laying down. He inched forward until his chest met with my back. My eyes nearly burst out of their sockets. WHAT!
                              "Aiden!" I hissed.
                              "What?"
"I.. you.. what are you doing?"
"You said you were cold," he said. I could feel his breath tickling my hair.
"Yeah, but I could have just used a blanket," I hissed.
"I don't know where they are," he replied. His arm draped softly over my side and tucked neatly next to my torso. His other arm supported my head. I realised how much of an intimate moment this was, but what scared me the most was I wan't willing to move. I swallowed thickly, feeling my heart beat a million miles a minute in my chest.
"Relax" I heard in my mind.
"How do you know I'm not relaxed?" I asked.
"I can feel your heart beating a million miles a minute."
"Wait, what do you mean you can feel it?"
                              "The bond."
I sighed. Too much action and craziness for my head to handle. I closed my arms, letting Aiden's warmth seep into my bones. I fell asleep within moments.
When I woke, I was laying in a different position than before. I was next to Aiden.... my hand on his chest... and my leg draped neatly over his groin. His left leg was bent so I couldn't move mine even if I tried. He had his right arm pressed against my back, keeping me locked to his side, while his other was draped over his eyes. I was too afraid to move, terrified that if I did he would wake up.
"I can feel you staring at me," he said.
I pulled my hand off his chest as fast as lightning, but before I could move my leg, he rolled over and squished me to his chest. I let out a leap, and squirmed underneath his grip.
"Calm down," he laughed. I stopped squirming, hoping that if he did, he'd let me go.
"So you can listen," he said. I wrestled my arm free and smacked him on the arm. He fiend the punch pretending to be hurt but the broad smile on his face greatly betrayed him.
"Are you still tired?" I asked. I was curious about his ability, but I wanted to make sure he was okay. After all, he'd helped me twice in less than half an hour.
