When I got home, Gramps was asleep on the couch. He must have come down from his room. Luckily, I hope, he hadn't noticed I was missing.
Aiden had left to go into his house for a bit, except he said he'd come over and visit me later. Which made me smile. I loved how much time he was spending with me. Someone to talk to, other than Lucy who I talk to nearly everyday, was a nice breather.
Thank-gosh it was the weekend. I don't see a point to school anymore. It's all, get up, eat, school, sleep repeat. The expectations of grades and stuff makes me cringe. I can live my life the way I want to, and at the moment, I'm thinking that that doesn't involve school. Once upon a time, I never would have dared to skip a day of school, or miss a block, or even miss studying for an upcoming assessment, however my new wolf-man was taking up nearly every single slither of space my poor mind can handle. I don't have space to think about anything else.
Ever since he told me that he was the one who was talking to me in my mind this morning, I've been thinking. A lot. I took a hot shower to warm up my aching muscles from trying to beat Aiden home. Trying to outrun a werewolf? Not such a good idea.
I didn't spend long in there because as soon as I shut my eyes, I felt myself drifting off. I finished and collapsed onto the bed, not wake up until the afternoon. I'd been awake for a little while, but my eyes were still shut. That was until I felt the air shift and the smell of spice and pine wood that made my heart accelerate. I smiled and shrunk further into the warmth the sheets were providing me. I knew that smell from a mile away, and I'd recognise it anywhere.
I loved how he'd stayed true to his promise and come back to visit. I felt a warm palm rest over my head, and I reached out, pulling him down into the sheets with me. I shuffled over, letting his chest warm my back. He grabbed the hair out of my face when I turned over, and made sure I was comfortable before I felt his breath tickling my hair.
"Mmm," I whispered. "You're tostie warm." It didn't take me long before I fell back asleep again.
When I woke, my mind began wandering about Aiden. And I had to admit, the more I thought about him, the more inviting his life seems. His super speed, super strength, ability to talk to my in my freaking mind! C'mon, what's not to like?
I can't believe it's only been a few short weeks since I've met someone, or something, I never thought existed. I mean, it's not like you meet a wolf everyday. But something was nagging at the back of my mind.
"Aiden?" I asked him through our bond.
"Yeah?"
"How did you manage to get into nearly all of my classes?"
"Uhhh..."
I turned over and looked at him. His blonde hair was ruffled and kept falling into his eyes, making him look younger than he really was.
"I asked for the particular classes you were in," he finally said.
"Why?"
"Because I wanted to be close to you," he whispered before gently kissing me on the nose.
"But how did you know what classes I was taking?"
"I looked you up in the school system."
I chuckled at his efforts. "I'm that appealing to you huh?"
"You're my mate. Of course I wanted to be close to you," he replied, giving me another soft kiss on the tip of my nose.
"Sang!" I heard Gramps yell from the other side of the house. My eyes nearly popped out of my head. My heart rate jumped into a million beats a minute. Aiden looked at me, eyes wide as well. I jumped out of bed, pulling him with me.
