When I finally regained consciousness, my head felt groggy. Like I'd been out in the sun too much and it hurt to move it.

"Luna," I heard Aiden whisper. I moaned, but I don't know if he heard it. It sounded quiet even to my own ears.

"She's malnourished. Her body has no energy. When was the last time she ate something?" I heard a female voice ask.

"This morning. She ate eggs, I think," he replied.

"That's not too bad, but it seems like it's not enough. She's fainting because she has no nutrients in her body. Even if she's eating, she's giving her body the wrong things. She needs protein. Iron, mainly. And Vitamin C," the woman replied.

"Thank you," Aiden replied. I heard heels clipping along the floor, signalling her departure from the room.

"Sang. My luna, you need to wake up," I heard Aiden whisper. His soft, caring voice washed away the darkness that clouded my vision and I felt my eyelids flutter open. I was met with a pair of striking blue eyes, yet they were laced with worry and concern.

"Sang? How are you feeling," he finally asked.

"My head hurts," I groaned.

"I know, baby, I know," he said. He gently rubbed his thumb against my cheek, warming the right side of his face with his hand.

"We're going to go home. You can't stay at school like this," Aiden replied, standing up from his position. I was going to reply, but a change of scenery brought my attention.

I was in a cream room, or white, I couldn't really tell. It looked like it used to be white, but over time the walls had darkened, and a layer of grime coated the top corners of the ceiling, out of reach from anyone. There were hospital beds set up side-by-side, with a few feet of space for walking in between each bed.

I noticed a few other kids lying in beds around the room, some being attended to, but otherwise it seemed peaceful. I must have been in the clinic. I'd never been in here before, but I could tell it was very basic, representing Forks High School remarkably.

Aiden seemed to take me being quiet as an acceptance, because he stood up and gathered our bags that had mysteriously been put at the foot of the bed. Someone probably carried them here, I assumed.

"Can you walk?" he asked me.

I nodded but made no effort to move.

I couldn't ditch school again. I wouldn't be coming back at all, and I felt like a bad student by leaving before I was supposed to. I was basically taking a long holiday. No need to take an extra day off, right? I wasn't that sick, I just had a really sore head. Nothing I hadn't experienced before. Every time I got sick I couldn't stay home and risk facing the wrath of Gramps, so I'd just put up with it and go to school. It was nothing that I couldn't handle.

"Sang! Stop. You're not okay, and this isn't like anything you've experienced before. We're going home," he scolded in my mind.

"No." I stubbornly replied. I felt the need to stay at school. I was going to stay.

"Yes, you are," he responded.

"No," I replied again.

"Sang, do you even know how sick you are?" he asked me with a soft voice. The scared tone I noticed laced in his voice made me stop and listen.
