Chapter 20 ~ Three Course Lunch & A Movie

When I woke up I was starving. I think it was the reason I woke up in the first place.

I rolled over but came in contact with a blank space. I frowned when Aiden wasn't there.

"I was talking to Lucy, luna," he responded.

"Outside?" I asked.

"Yes."

I bounced off the bed and went outside to check up on them.

They were in a heated card game, and Lucy was not so quietly hissing at him. I laughed, drawing their attention to me.

"You're up!" she said with a gasp and reached out to grab Aiden's arm. "The princess has returned to the ball," she finished with a chuckle.

My mouth popped open as the both of them began to laugh.

"No way! You didn't!" I gasped at Lucy, but joined in on the laughter. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what a best friend does.

"How you can insult me and get away with it, I have no idea," I responded. I walked up the plane aisle to join them on another chair. They had theirs pulled close together and a table was separating them with a large pile of cards on it.

"Wanna play?" Lucy asked when I finally managed to move one along to ground to where they were sitting. The hostess had to come and help me though, because they were electronic and moved along the ground. They were attached to some sort of pathway that allowed the chairs to move freely.

I thanked her, and sat down with the other two.

"Um, no thanks. I think I'll just watch for now," I responded but paused. "Actually I'm starving! Can we get something to eat?"

"Sure. We've been snacking but we waited for you to wake up so that we could all eat together," Aiden responded. He pressed a little button on the side of the chair, and the hostess came out and greeted him.

"Can we please have lunch now?" he asked the woman.

"Sure! It should be ready in like 15 minutes? Is that okay?" she responded.

"That's fine thanks," he replied. She nodded and made her way back down to the kitchen.

When lunch came out, I could practically smell it before it was even in front of my eyes. It smelt so good.

We put the chairs into their original setting and the hostess placed the meal in front of us.

"The first course," she said, "is sushi with avocado and cucumber."

"Mmm," Lucy responded. I knew she loved Sushi.

The hostess gave us our cutlery and we all dug in. I finished it in like 30 seconds because I was so hungry. I couldn't even remember the last time I ate proper food.

The second course was our main meal. She brought out fried rice with eggs, vegetables and baby corn mixed in, along with a yummy looking bowl of Sicilian salad.

And dessert was the best part. It was an amazing chocolate cake with warm chocolate sauce.

By the end of it all, I was so full I could have been a balloon and floated away. But it was so worth it!

I was truly surprised that there could be food as good as this on a plane. It made me wonder about what the kitchen looked like.

Our dishes were cleared and we got set up in front of the T.V to watch a movie. We ended up picking Avatar - Lucy basically pushed me because I'd never seen it. She said the blue people were so cool and the floating mountains were the most amazing thing in the whole entire movie. 

The hostess came and brought us popcorn that was coated in chocolate.

I asked for another blanket because the plane had suddenly got really really cold and my other one had disappeared off my chair. It was warm and fluffy, and the best thing ever.

We combined our chairs together so we were all side by side. Aiden was in the middle with me on his right next to the window, and Lucy on the left next to the aisle.

I ended up crawling into Aidens lap half way through the movie because I was still really cold. There was no doubt a response from Lucy, who commented on how cute were and made me blush. He warmed me up pretty quickly anyway, so it was worth it.
