When I got home, I sneaked in as quiet as I could, hoping I didn't wake up gramps. I got into my pj's and slipped soundlessly into bed. I was asleep almost as soon as I hit the pillow. Amazing how much sleep a teenager can get and still be tired.

When I woke up, it was still dark. I groaned. Sleep too much, wake too early. I can never find the balance.

I decided to get up and go for a run to clear my mind. I slipped into my joggers and a simple t-shirt, with faded olive shorts. I took off, heading towards Triangle square just off the corner of our estate.

I hoped I could catch the sunrise before it comes up because it's really beautiful in the morning. I ran, focusing on my breathing, and letting the feeling of my burning muscles wipe away the thoughts that were racing around in my head. I'd been running for a while before I reached Triangle square. It was a large open space with concrete squares stuck together to make the floor. There was a big statue in the middle, but I couldn't see the engravings and details on it because it was too dark. I looked around, trying to get my laboured breathing back to normal, before my eyes came to land on the sun.

Rays of pink and purple and blue and yellow were scattered across the sky. It looked like an artist had flicked the paintbrush and every where you looked was a new colour. The big ball of flames peeked up from the horizon, dancing with the clouds.

I knew I should look away because it was going to burn my retinas, but it was such a beautiful sight that I didn't dare. Suddenly, I heard rustling and footsteps behind me. I shrieked and turned towards the sound but I had a giant blue ball from staring at the sun in the middle of my vision, blocking my view. I started to freak out.  What if it's a kidnapper! What if this dude is going to rob me! I didn't have anything on me anyway, but STILL! Also, this is the second time this has happened... you'd think I'd have learnt my lesson by now.

"Sang," I heard. I stopped freaking out. How did they know my name? I identified the voice as being male, because it was a deep rumble, but the way the word rolled off his tongue sounded familiar and made me want to curl up in a ball. I sensed him come and stand in front of me, and when the blue patch in front of my eyes disappeared I realised it was Aiden. My mouth popped open and I shrieked and jumped in my spot, but I didn't run.

"What... How... I don't even..." I stuttered, staring at him. His blonde hair looked brown in the early morning and the sunrise made him look like he had a dark brown tan instead of the slightly olive complexion he usually had. He wore a black shirt, and dark denim jeans, I guessed, which made him look almost invisible. He was wearing black shoes, too. What's with him and black, I thought, returning my eyes back to his light gaze.

I lost my breath when I looked into his eyes. Those same crystal blue eyes that were invading all the thoughts that popped into my mind. His eyes were a gentle smoulder. He rubbed the top of his shoe on the concrete square we were standing on.

"I can't sleep when people are awake," he replied, casting me a gentle smile. I felt my anxiety lower considerably as I stare at the god-like figure standing in front of me. It's early in the morning, and he still looks like a king. But wait... people in his house were awake right now? At this hour?

I did want to find out as to why he was really here, so I decided to grill down on the questions.

"Why'd you come here," I asked.

"I don't know, I was walking for a while and I saw the square here. I thought it might be nice to see the sunrise."

"You, uh, shouldn't sneak up on people like that. You scared the hell out of me. Especially this time of morning," I said crossing my arms over my chest.
