My mind was whirling a million miles an hour. My heart was beating even faster.
He stood there looking me up and down, and for some reason I was glad there was a box separating us because it looks like he wanted to eat me.
He chuckled. "Let me introduce myself. I'm your worst nightmare, period," he explained as he walked over to the wall of buttons.
"Which one should we try first?" he thought aloud.
He pushed a big blue button, and I heard rumbling from the tank to my right. I gasped when I saw the pipe wobble, like something was traveling down in.
Water hit me like a tonne of bricks, cascading around me and blinding my vision. It felt like eons before it stopped. The water level had reached my knees, and I was bent over coughing up water into the glass box I was trapped in.
"You're weak and pathetic. How could he want you for a mate. It sickens me."
My eyes widened.
"You see, we had a plan. It was going fine until that beat showed up. It started with your parents. Such a shame what happened." His chuckle made me growl.
"What did you do to them you monster!" Tears were starting to well up in my eyes, and I was on the verge of being blinded by rage.
"We were to let you grow up, and then once you reached the right age, he would take you as his."
"Who! Who would take me!"
"I'm sure you know him as Gramps."
