[Dipper POV]:

Ford's dream world was creepy, it was almost exactly like ours but twisted to bill's preferences, and who knows what Bill is doing to him here! "Maybe we could ask the locals about Lewis?" Mabel suggested. I thoyght about it "I mean sure, but wouldn't they be less reliable in a place like this?" I countered. I tried putting this Lewis guy's name into a Caesar cipher but I couldn't really get anything. Mabel rolled her eyes "Well its better than sitting here with our thumbs up our a—" "Woah, 'kay, we'll talk to the town folk. Any idea where to start?" I put Wendy's phone in my pocket. I didnt mean to take it she must've given it to me to keep safe or something and I forgot about it. I saw Wendy's dad through the window at the tavern, but he was more hygienic than he is in the real world, he didnt have hair poking out of every hole in his shirt. Mabel followed my eyes. "Let's sneak in there, I don't see a host by the entrance." She smiled before dragging me across the street and into the dark, rowdy tavern. Even the biker dudes seemed to keep to themselves here. Me and Mabel approached Mr. Corduroy. He glanced away from his drink. "Who let their kids in here?" He muttered. "Sir, can I um, ask you a question?" My hands started to sweat. I was just as bad at talking to him as I was in the real world. "I suppose" He took a sip from his drink, it looked like whiskey on the rocks. It kind of reminded of my dad or something Stan would be into. I cleared my throat "Do you know anyone named Lewis around here or where I could find him?" I looked at him, wiping my hand sweat on the inside of my pockets. "No one here's named that, isnt that right" He looked over to the bartender, who looked kind of like Blendin Blandin. The man just ran a dishrag along the edge of a glass and nodded. Mabel tugged at my arm "We should move before they get someone to kick us out of here." I nodded snd we walked up to the pool table. Tad Strange was setting up a triangle. "Your turn" I nudged her. She sighed snd walked up to Tad. "Wow, way to make all those things triangle-y. Speaking of triangles, have you seen any weird looking triangles around here lately?" She smiled, her braces gleaming against the LED lights. Tad looked around then bent down to our height. "Not many people in town talk about it, but if you're looking for something like that, you should talk to the society of the blind eye" He whispered. It was unsettling to see Tad say anything so unnatural. In our world, he's the inly normal guy in town, but in here it's opposite. I was kind of mad at Mabel for derailing our Lewis investigation but if Bill still existed in this world, then maybe theres still someone against him who does too. Mabel looked to me and did a thumbs up, we were on our way out when some other adults noticed us and pushed us the rest of the way.
"Do you think it's still in the natural History museum?" Dusted myself off. Mabel swept her hair back to her liking "it's worth a try." So we made our way. When we got there, it wasn't just abandoned, it was overgrown with vines and thorns. Even in Ford's dream world Bill wouldn't let us in here. It was annoying but we crawled under the boarded up part of the doorway, despite the pricks from the thorns. On the inside it was cold and not entirely structurally sound. Minus the few damaged exhibits, we managed to get to the blind eye room. The main room where the chair was had been messed with, the chair on its side and broken glass of memory tubes all over. "Dipper this is creepy" Mabel mumbled as we looked around. "I know Mabel, but nothing's ever not when it comes to Bill" I squinted as i tried to make things out in the darkness, I then tripped on something and tell on the ground, luckily not cutting on any glass. "Dipper!" Mabel yelled, rushing to my aid. She helped me up and i looked back to see what I fell on. When my eyes could make it out I screamed. It was a rotting corpse! Mabel held me tight. "What do we do?!" She looked at the body in horror, the only flesh parts left were from the waist up. The face was hallow to bone, but the glasses... When I saw the glasses I instant knew. "Holy shit, that's Fiddleford!" I stumbled to my feet. I checked my socks and shoes for any blood or other. There was a dead maggot smashed into my shoe but other than that I was okay. "Do you think Bill tortured him?.." Mable began to tremble at the thought or what could've happened. "The paper said he was missing, maybe everyone just assumed he went crazy? He looks so young though" I stared at the body, it was. Maybe the image of McGucket Bill had was of him from when he worked with Ford.. But if Ford went to his dream school here, then why was McGucket here? Was it only for Bill to have fun with him? If he had gone this far and remained this powerful here, it made me worry for what else could be hiding in this world. What else does Bill have the power to do in here? Are we being watched right now? Does Ford remember anything? The questions were making me sick to my stomach. "We have to go. We have to get back to the house" I looked away from the corpse finally and to my sister, shaking in her sweater. Her eyes looked to mine and nodded. I took her hand and we ran out of there.
Her hands were shaking as we made our way out. We avoided any eye contact or conversations when we headed back through the town. I had to talk to grunkle Ford.
