Yes we are well past the festive period but I kind of had this mostly written around that time. Let's just pretend 😂😅 due to 2026 going swell for me so far (not) this is late.

The girls' night happened the way it always did loud, chaotic, and wrapped in Christmas lights. Five best friends who claimed to be more like family crammed into Lias apartment, holiday music playing just a little too loudly.
Grabbing the opportunity of their scarce rest days, quickly brainstormed a plan a month or so ago knowing the gap in their schedule. Lia wanted to host, Ryujin spent a heck of a lot of time there anyway and Yuna used to live there. While Chaeryeong didn't want a whole load of mess to clean up if she had hosted it knowing for sure Yeji and Yuna could not be trusted. Ryujin said she would provide the booze thus exulting herself from hosting.
The five idols who spent the majority of the year glammed up to hilt, cameras in their faces and could not be anything but perfect. Now were adorned in crazy christmas pyjamas, hair however it fell and a make up free zone.
The space to be themselves, be less than perfect, sit like a crazy person, not have to second guess everything you say. To just be human.
Take out containers, empty mugs scattered everywhere, that were once filled with mulled wine. The tree blinked in the corner like it was watching them. Pyjamas ranged from cute to ridiculous, and by the time Secret Santa ended, everyone was riding that warm, giggly buzz that only happens when you feel completely safe with your people.
It was perfect.
Games started, which only meant one thing. Ryujin and Yeji to become the most bitter rivals while Chaeryeong provided the rage bait. Yuna and Lia providing the laughs, while occasionally getting lost.
More drinks followed that and laughter echoed off the walls. Sneaky off guard photos snapped among funny and wholesome moments, some never to see the light of day.
Charades never failed to bring the animated laughs, utter confusion and crazy frowning. Then came the bout of halli galli, Chaeryeong and Yejis game leaving them with stinging hands.
They were in the middle of uno, Chaeryeong didn't notice her phone lighting up at first.
Then she did.
Y/N.
Yuna clocked it instantly, that mischievous grin pointed directly at Chaeryeong. "Hold up." she said, pausing the game. "Why did you just smile like that?"
"I didn't." Chaeryeong denied, already typing.

Y/n: You surviving girls' night or causing chaos?
Chaer: Little bit of both.
Y/n: I figured. You're dangerous in a group.

Lia leaned over her shoulder. "Ohhh. That one was good."
Chaeryeong felt bolder than usual, lighter, like the usual overthinking part of her brain had clocked out early. Probably due to the alcohol in her system. She typed before she could second guess it.

Chaer: Dangerous how?
Three dots appeared almost immediately.
Y/n: You know exactly how.

The room erupted.
