Chapter 26

"Ok mom! Love you too!" I say into my phone.
"What'd she say?" Josh asks.
"Um just that she misses me and that she is going on a trip." I say laying down on Josh's bed.
I turn to face him.
"You don't sound so sure about that."
"She just misses me. That's all."
"Have you figured out if you are leaving in a few months?" He asks.
I bite my lip, "No. My dad and I haven't talked about that."
"Well whatever you do I will be right beside you." He reminds me.
"and this is why I love you" I say moving my lips on top of his.
He moves his hands from my waist to my hair and entangles his hands in it. I grab the back of his neck while our lips move in perfect sync.
I hear the door open and instantly fly away from Josh.
His mom walks in.
"Josh! Oh hi Chloe!"
"Mom." His cheeks turn a light shade of red.
"I just wanted to let you kids know that dinner is ready and on the stove so come down when you're ready!" She says then walks out.
When the door closes I start laughing.
"This is why people knock." He says.
I smile and kiss his cheek, "Come on. Let's go get some food. That will make you feel better."
He wraps his hand around me, "I think you made me feel better!"
